Hemish curl up, same technique....last coat a push up comb...type!!!like Maybelline...the hemish curl stays better than other...oily lids here. Godspeed Dee

This is crazy… I tried it today and it worked so well! It looked insane and lasted from around 8am this morning till now, 2am. Yes it‘s 18 hours! I used normal, non-waterproof drugstore mascara and I’m sure it would last even longer but I have to take it off now. 😂 Thank you for sharing this amazing method. ❤

Thank you! Tried and it worked! I highly recommend because as we become more “mature,” our lashes become thinner, shorter and will not hold the curl. 👏🏻🌹👏🏻

I’ve used a similar technique for years and it’s the best! I have stick straight lashes that can’t hold a curl with regular mascara, so I use my lash curlers and a lighter so I can control the heat better (though this does make the curler hot very quickly so be careful!) then apply a coat of waterproof mascara. The curl holds all day with no drooping! Though with waterproof mascara I’m always mindful to use a proper oil-based remover at the end of the day and I apply lash serum nightly to prevent any dryness to my lashes x Thank you Smitha for always showing us practical tips that are easy to follow and work brilliantly! I have stick straight lashes - thanks for these tips. I played around back in the 80s as a teenager with applying mascara only to the the tips of lashes first and then going back once lashes dried with a bit more mascara. I will try the Physicians Mascara and the Sally H's curler. I love your channel!

I really like this technique! I'm fortunate that I have very long, curly lashes(which I inherited from my late father); however, the tips of my lashes are blonde, so they look a bit shorter than they really are. Wow! I’m going to try this trick. I already warm my lash curler and do the whole lash as you have shown but usually when I would put the mascara on it would straighten out my lashes again. I’m definitely going to try the mascara on tips first.

This trick really works! I always used a dryer to warm up my eyelash curler to get that lift, but it wouldn't hold and my lashes would go straight in no time. Then I found your trick on how to apply the mascara and it lasted all day. Thank you for sharing.

There is a heated eyelash curler they sell… it has a battery which heats up the area where you curl your eyelashes try it

Another trick to add to this is to swipe a tiny bit of petroleum jelly (AKA vaseline) on the rubber part of the curler. I just learned this trick from another YT video and it is a game changer!

I just use a bid lighter to heat it up. And I always test it with my fingers to make sure it’s cooled down enough before applying.

Need to try asap...as so far only waterproof mascara was able to hold my curls...but I hate waterproof mascaras ....so fingers crossed it will work with your tips
