In today's Thailand travel vlog, we head to the hidden gem glamping destination of Phu Chi Fa in Chiang Rai Province.
After checking out of our hotel, we hopped into a rental car for a breathtaking road trip in search of mountain air and epic sunsets. Along the way, we stopped to grab Thai milk tea at a unique cafe spot named Pink Buffalo Coffee. We spent time meandering through the gardens and checking out the immense pop culture sculptures, including a friendly chimpanzee, a giant bear made of hay, and the famous Pink Buffalo.
After sipping our tea and enjoying the mountain views, Ashley took the wheel as we wound through the foothills of the Phi Pan Nam range. Passing stunning lookouts and monks on a pilgrimage, we came across an amazing spot to stretch our legs, Doi Ian Viewpoint. After relaxing in the afternoon sun, we set off on the last leg of our journey.
As the air grew crisp and cool, we finally made it to our first destination for the evening, Phu Chi Fa Forest Park. We made our way up the 20-minute hike to the viewpoint, stopping to breathe in the scenery along the way. At the top, we were fortunate to be two of a very small group of people who decided to visit this majestic peak on such a beautiful day. As the sun went down, we were awarded amazing hues of orange and pink. We sat in awe of the amazing landscapes surrounding us from Thailand and neighboring Laos.
As night crept in, we made our way back down and headed to our accommodation for the evening to sit back and enjoy some delicious Mu Kratha (Thai BBQ) before winding down for the evening.
In the early morning hours, we set off once more to discover what is widely known as the most beautiful sunrise in all of Thailand. A sea of mist surrounded us at the top of the viewpoint, along with lots of other eager people hoping to get a chance to see the sun peak its head out of the clouds.
