My daughter and I loved this show and to my wife’s despair we got quite fluent. A few years later the daughter is working as a chartered surveyor/land agent and was called to a job site where new pylons were being erected, the land owner in Hampshire ( very posh) could not understand the site Forman who was from Glasgow and she ended up as translator all thanks to Rab C Nesbitt.😂😂😂

When I was 26 I spent 4 months of summer (off uni) at Inverary on the dole. Wife and kids with me.. I got fluent by then. The Jimmies uses to get out of their crew bus all drunk at 10am Sunday and as soon as they kenned I was a sassanach (saxon), started firing air rifles at my fishing float. Scotland is like Disneyland coz Scotland disney vote conservative

I have my mum's best mate for making it possible to watch this brilliant comedy series without much trouble. Springburn born and raised, she moved to the English midlands as a young woman to marry the love of her life. She never lost one ounce of her thick Wegie accent, even on her death-bed, aged 96. Wonderful woman. God bless.

When I was 9 years old I set up a Rab C Nesbitt club at school with the sole aim of disrupting the class. Might not have been the nost wholesome influence at 9 for a boy to watch. What was good was my love and respect and identification with working class people that I am sure Rab C contributed towards.
