That’s crazy. A razor scraper 🪒 makes the trimming way easier. They don’t have tape ? Instead of rope or whatever that was supposed to do. You always want to wear gloves so you don’t leave oils from fingers around the perimeter. You want a good bond to the pinchweld and glass. I would be surprised if that didn’t leak lol.

This is not proper method. You are using silicone sealant. Actually polyurethane is using for glass fixing.

This wasn't a good job...using oem glass with third quallity general purpose sillicone...and tieing with ropes... We are in same buisness since 2007.....we do this type of job in just 30minutes... And u can drive away immediately...

This is such a poor way to replace your backscreen. It damages your vehicle color and your safety. You need a professional and proper tools to get your back glass replaced. The silicone that person was using is also very poor quality. For car glass you need Polyurethane Sealant and not a Silicone.
