The minimum equipment you need is:
* Slimline pen kit - $2
* Clamp or vice - $10+
* Some people say a hammer works -- I don’t recommend it
* Sand paper for 320 and 400 grit
* Two smooth, hard surfaces such as baking tiles
* Quarter inch rod
* E.g. a knitting needle (US 10.5/UK 3/JP 14)

I have previously made pens, but not as elegant as these. And the idea of putting CA glue on as a protectant instead of wax made me sit up and pay attention. Thank you for the easy to follow directions. I may well give a pen kit a try now!

Wow !!! Great video ,, I make wood and acrylic pens on a lathe , my wife dose Femo , maybe make some canes on these winter days in UK when it's too cold for me in the garage ,Thank you for sharing ,,. PS I use plastic juice bottle caps on my G-clamps when assembling my pens ,,. stay safe ,,. Regards Alf

Have you tried UV clear gloss resin hard ~ which you can rub on in same manner and dry with UV resin torch!

Ordered brand new 10.5 knitting needles online. They arrived today. They do not fit the slimline pen kit.

Nice to see the PPE you use. CA can cause birth defects in pregnant women, or cause breathing issues. Lovely tutorial.
