Fun Fact: The flashback to the gang of friends meeting Miles for the first time sees him show up dressed like Tom Cruise's character in Magnolia (1999). That was Edward Norton's choice, and he didn't tell Rian Johnson beforehand. "The idea behind it is that Miles has never had an original thought in his life." the director stated. 😂

Notice Lionel says “you didn’t burn it?” And then the next thing Miles does is burn the napkin and even gives Lionel a nod. He really never has an original idea in the movie.

34:35 - “The value of your shares before or after you take responsibility?” Yes! I’ve watched so many KZfaqrs react to this movie, and you’re the first one I’ve seen to catch on to the scam Miles was running on Birdie, who clearly isn’t smart enough to catch on herself. (Fun fact: this is also insider trading.) But J, you gotta be kinder to yourself. Your math was absolutely mathing in this. You figured out why Whiskey was fooling around with Miles; you realized why Duke’s phone was blowing up; you realized Duke tried to blackmail Miles with the knowledge of Andi’s death; and you figured out the stock scam Miles was pulling on Birdie. That’s a damn sight better than I did the first time I watched this.

"That's how I feel in the comments sometimes..." That's world famous cellist Yo-yo Ma who delivers the information about the use of musical fugue. Rian then uses that in the movie, as after the glass breaks we play the movie over again from a different view. It's brilliant. "Who are the other three?" Angela Lansbury, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Natasha Lyonne, and Stephen Sondheim are Blanc's Among Us crew. Sondheim and Lansbury have since passed 😭

It's worth noting that they're all "sleuths" too, in their own ways. Angela Lansbury if famous from the old TV show "Murder She Wrote." Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has written a mystery novel himself (aside from being an NBA star). Natasha Lyonne is in a new TV show about a mystery solver (also by Rian Johnson). And Steven Sondheim has written a mystery movie himself (aside from being a famous Broadway composer).

Love this movie! Helen is the new Mona Lisa! I feel as if the very last scene, parting shot of Janelle who is astonishingly beautiful, after Benoit asks if she is ready to go home, her expression is inscrutable, like the Mona Lisa. So Helen is the Mona Lisa 😊

She’s definitely MY favorite version of the Mona Lisa. She is beautiful, talented and elegant. As a black man, I’ve always respected and appreciated black women who rocked the short hair look (Anita Baker, Halley Berry, and Monae, etc) I really wish Black women would stop trying to culturally appropriate to what’s traditionally referred to as White people hair. Be proud Sistas (and all those with natural ¨nappy hair¨) and rock it natural with pride. Then give it a few years and white women will be trying to get Fro’s. Trust me 😂

The Among Us players you didn’t recognize from Benoit Blanc’s bathtub session are all famous people tied to the murder mystery/whodunnit genre, Angela Lansbury is a legendary actor, millennials and their parents will remember her for her contributions to television in the murder mystery show Murder, She Wrote where she played Jessica Fletcher an author who solved murder mysteries, she also played Mrs Lovett in the original Broadway production of Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street which was written by our next player, Stephen Sondheim the composer, lyricist, and Broadway producer/writer, Sondheim co-wrote the screenplay for the murder mystery movie Last of the Sheila with his friend Anthony Perkins, (the originator of the role of Norman Bates, which is to say the first person to play the character,) Sondheim also co-wrote the non-musical play Getting Away with Murder, and lastly we have Natasha Lyonne the star of Rian Johnson’s show Pokerface for Peacock.

I've never understood why Miles set the lights to go out. It wasn't part of the original murder mystery weekend. Benoit Blanc tells us Miles stole the idea from him. He didn't set the lights to go out because he planned on murdering Duke. The murder was a spur-of-the-moment decision when Duke blackmailed him with the cell phone alert about Andi. Was his original plan to kill Andi in the dark? Why wouldn't he have brought his own weapon? Was his original plan to turn out the lights and then try to grab Duke's gun and then try to shoot Andi in the dark? (He didn't know that Andi was going to leave the group before the lights went out.) And why did he need to kill Andi/Helen now anyway? He had the napkin, and he knew from the cell phone that Andi was dead. What was the motive for killing Helen?

@FLQueerLiberal1982

To your first question: I would lay that down to his charisma, perhaps even bribery. I suggest latter point because it is partially the answer to your question. He boxed her out due to lawyers, and bribing the rest of their crew to lie for him in the lawsuit. Andi made one serious mistake, she should have never let him be the face of Alpha. Also, "woke stench"? Knives Out was also woke, it could be argued by your ilk.

"A bit of woke stench" Conservative for, "Has politics that I didn't like, and only have a problem with when they're not mine" As for the question Mikes is an idiot, but as stated he had A di with him to build his empire And the moment it was built he could just coast on the success Everyone thinks a billionaire is a genius so no one questions his bad sections And he's surrounded by yes men and people who depend on him for their careers So no one will push back on him.
