actually this is the only performance that works in a real setting, because you can sing and dance in times square if you want (also there's always a lot of people in costumes or singing there)

idk man i remember how i was in high school (sleep deprived, stressed, depressed, generally not chipper) and if a bunch of choir kids came into the LIBRARY (where people obviously want peace and quiet) wearing the LOUDEST OUTFITS POSSIBLE and singing the most OBNOXIOUS SONG EVER WRITTEN completely unsolicited and apropos of nothing id be fucking pissed. also: i was a band kid. we got forced into performances throughout school days for "enrichment" and no one (band kid or audience) wanted to be there.
