I remember was a fan, but not a die hard one. There was space to be a supporter but not delve into their personal lives. When they made sue a 'klainer' - I was like that's it, the show is now laughing at their fans. That was wall that didn't need broken.

Sorry, but Jacob Artist and Blake Jenner are just NOT hot. They're just not. They're bland and kind of drippy. Compare them to Cory Monteith or Darren Criss? Not even close.

Melissa Benoist and Jacob Artist have no, and I mean NO, charisma on screen. It's so sad that Glee had such lousy casting starting in Season 4. If the kids they'd hired were as talented and charismatic as Amber Riley, Lea Michele, Mark Salling Harry Shum Jr., etc., I think the show would have continued. I'm wondering if Robert Ulrich did casting for the Season 4 kids? He did such an amazing job with the initial group, it's hard for me to believe he casted Benoist, Artist, Jenner, etc. None of them have any true presence! What a tragedy.

in the original casting, it seemed like they let the actor have an influence on their character. for example, dianna agron's personality made quinn be more than a one-dimensional mean girl and chris colfer inspired kurt to be created. in season 4, it seemed like they wanted to recreate the original cast but didn't let the actor shine through, and thus people were less interested in the new glee kids. the only one who seemed to have promise is kitty, which is probably why she came back in s6.

@@John-np5wv That's a good point, but I also just find the Season 4 newbies to be... blah. I mean, Melissa Benoist is the generic pretty white girl who sings ok and is basically bland and boring in how she delivers lines. Compare that to Lea, or Amber, or Dianna, or Jenna... They command you to look at them on camera. I don't know if it's the actors or the writing or both, but something was off. Same with Jake, he was SO boring! When he's in a scene with Mark Salling, you can see how much more charismatic and watchable Puck is compared to Jake, who also has NO chemistry with Marley-the-drip.
