I got to watch that episode and I remember they were all pissed off because they just couldn't get it done. One girl screwed, do it again. One boy fell, do it again. Again and again and again and again.

i worked on this series as a PA and remember this day. it was tough, i think it was like a 10hr shoot just for this music video. we had to start over many times. and the finale part with the girl in the wheel chair was the only part that had a cut cause she couldn't make the basket so they lifted her.

Wonder why Blake won??? 34 or 37 takes and he put up w/ all of this w/o really messing up. It’s not Blake’s fault that they wrote him an extremely boring character.

Aylin should have won this season. Blake is sooooo dull on glee and his character has no depth. He needs to go. Aylin would have been amazing

the fact that you are taking up arms against my opinion (someone you don't even know) shows your immaturity and you clearly don't have a clue what is means to be not just a good actor but a good writer as well. IDK if you've noticed but Glee's ratings have been plummeting since the third season and even more so during the fourth, and Blake and Marley have taken the most heat for the depth-less characters and for being boring people. every comment is "keep the old cast, get rid of the newbies!"

I love this song, but it was a horrible choice for a competition that was looking for someone with musical talent. I'm pretty positive /anyone/ can sing this song well, and since none of them were singing live, it's not like they had to focus on their vocals while performing. I also thought the video itself was probably the worst of the season-- a long-running shot was a good idea, but the parts were hardly divied up evenly: someone explain to me how throwing a softball or swinging a jump rope was even close to the equivalent of making a basket in one shot or doing wheelbarrows. Plus it all ended up moving so slowly, with everyone so obviously focused on getting their parts right (like Ali looking behind her as she was weaving around the cones) that it hardly looked like a training montage. Not a criticism against the contestants at all-- this was all the choreographer/creators' train wreck.

+Brandon C. Sites - Critic of Modern Day Horror ; good point as far as motivation for the task/video (although I still think it was horribly choreographed). For your last thought though, it's definitely interesting-- I wonder if by this point they'd already narrowed it down to those two for frontrunners and were putting the real rigors of the show on them then. I mean, Ali's very talented, but the show really did all it was going to be able to with her (not the one-shot, but a guest role I mean).

I've played softball, and while it's really hard to be a //good// pitcher, it's not difficult to get one halfway-decent pitch in from the distance she was at. And did she really do anything else? Poor thing might have already been out of the running by this point and just not known it.
