@@michaelk9056 it wasn't method acting. Method acting is when an actor or actress can emotionally connect and portray their characters emotions and still pretty easy to tell when it's fake. The emotions in this episode were 100% genuine. I still remember hearing about them trying to film this episode. All of the scenes were practically done in a single take because they couldn't keep themselves together long enough for more. So no....this is anything but method acting.

I almost lost it when he was talking to Santana about leaving the nest and it sure beat the alternative. Man that was deep but when i seen this scene....damn too powerful

I had three big break down moments. 1. The very moment the first chord of Seasons of Love hit. We all knew that song was coming eventually, how do you do a musical TV show and NOT do that song, but we never thought it would be in that context. 2. When Lea first showed up on screen. I don't need to say anything more than that. 3. This scene, for the same reasons everyone here have already said.

He was like a father figure to finn I had a terrible accident almost lost my leg my dad was sobbing beside me holding my hand while they were taking me in to surgery that week was terrible to begin with I got into a fight with my sister in Washington because her and my brother were fighting and it lasted around a year it tore me up inside next morning my dad texted me most of heard the fight and figured out how hard it was for me I read the message took a walk and ended up in the hospital my parents were by me till 1am that night my dad went back got sleep my mom stayed my sister in California flew in and was there the next morning I hugged her she didn't expect me hugging her so quickly and started saying stuff I told her during our fight

He just didn’t want to do it in front of the kids... stayed strong for them but once alone... he lets go! The whole story of Finn and Will is beyond anything else. He didn’t have a father and Will sort of became that.

Finn was as much a son to Mr Shue as Will from Fresh Prince was to Uncle Phil. They had their dads in a form but never really had that father figure till those men came into their lives.

This scene made me feel bad for Mr.Shue but still mad he stole Kurt’s jacket which he gave to Santana, then stole it and acted innocent and tried telling Puck to do something he didn’t do. And to be fair Mr.Shue should’ve given the jacket back to Kurt. Cuz Kurt was close to Finn

Hell, I would much rather Kurt, Rachel, Santana, Puck, or Quinn have the jacket more than Mr. Schue especially when he blackmailed Finn to be in Glee club to begin with and did other things. Grief is grief but being selfish to make someone else be guilty isn't excusable.

I was small when I watched this and I was in Aussie. and then when I came home it wasn't airing in our country. now that I have Netflix I watched it but I thought he died after glee finished. I'm just happy he spent more than a half seasons in this show

@@wishfulaudios2319 Right? I know we all have things to answer for, no one's perfect, but that is on another level. No "feeling bad and being sorry" can fix 1% of what he did. But I do feel bad for his family and friends who love and miss him everyday. He was good to these people. The whole Glee experience must have been very strong to this cast, they used to have the most fun together, there are lots of BTS videos where you can see how crazy and silly they were around each other so it must have been really hard to deal with their losses.

Admitting what he did was screwed up does not, in any way, make up for what he did. If he was going to prove he was sorry and willing to atone for what he did, the only way he could have done that was by facing up to his sentence and committing to the treatment programme they were having him take as part of his rehabilitation. If he was serious about it, that's all he could have done. The fact is that he did not do that -- no matter what he said, his actions spoke louder. Especially considering how many crimes stem from social ills like poverty, I believe that there is always a chance for a criminal to be rehabilitated, but to be rehabilitated, a criminal has to rehabilitate -- actively, rehabilitate. That means atoning through the time and fines set, and learning and committing to behaviours and lifestyles that remove the need or opportunity for reoffending, ready for re-release, and then abiding by the terms of the parole and maintaining that commitment from then on. I know they say that pedophilic tendencies are, as they are finding out, hardwired into the brain, and I imagine they are incredibly difficult to break out of, but Salling could have had a chance to break out of it with treatment. He did not choose treatment. Salling's situation is so different because he brought the consequences of his horrific, evil actions on himself, was given very reasonable opportunities with his sentencing to make up for those actions, and instead chose to permanently opt out. Even given what they do to men like him in prison, he took the coward's way out. There is no honour in any of that. (Please keep in mind, I work in an enforcement capacity myself (cannot give any details) so I do have some idea of what I'm talking about here). I still feel awful for Salling's family, friends, and former coworkers. They must have felt so guilty for not knowing about it sooner and not being able to do anything about it before it got to that point, even if they had no reason to feel guilty. They not only lost someone they loved, they lost what he used to be to them, and nothing can bring that back. Meanwhile, we have to go through the process as well and accept it -- no excuses, no bullshit. Yes, you do tend to assume the best in celebrities, but as we over in Britain learned about the late 'Jim'll Fix It' host Jimmy Saville, the worst thing you can do when you find out a celebrity is a monster is to continue to venerate him like a celebrity. Once you know what he is, the best thing to you can do is acknowledge what they did, take down the plaques and move on. We can still enjoy Puck as a character, because we can't say if Salling's inclinations informed his acting and so we must assume that there's an artistic separation between the creator and the creation. We can still enjoy Glee for what it was, but we must accept what Salling was and commit ourselves not to venerate him, but to remembering his victims and warn ourselves -- if we see anything of these inclinations in the people around us, if we suspect any child in our lives of being abused, we must not close our eyes and ears to it, but do the responsible thing and act. Even if we don't work in positions that require us to be mandatory reporters, we must be advocates for the young and defenseless, ourselves. Please let this be our warning.

Agreed. This wouldn't have bothered me if everyone hadn't been blaming Puck. The writing should have not scapegoated Finn's best friend... it was like Puck's loss didn't matter AT ALL in the face of Mr. Schue's or Kurt's or Rachel's. And then we're supposed to ignore that this adult did this at the expense of a former student who also lost an important person in his life too? Bad writing that there was no call-out for this. And it really took something away from this scene, unfortunately.
