Glenbrook Vintage Railway's School Holiday Excursions - with Ww644 & DBR1254 (HD)

Күн бұрынOver the first weekend of July, the Glenbrook Vintage Railway ran a number of excursions with their recently restored & mainline certified Ww644 and DBR1254. These were the Ww's first public excursions since returning to service in early 2022. The Ww ran short trips to Te Awamutu, Morrinsville, & Huntly from Hamilton. The DBR ran a long distance day trip to Ohakune & back from Hamilton.

Do they really need the tanker to Huntley? Or morriville? Seems a bit of more weight but still nice video mate also let’s get you to 500 subs

Cheers. Also having the tanker on the train meant they only had to fill up with water once each return trip instead of twice.

Also had the advantage of taking water on the go on the return trips, reducing turnaround time

If we didn't need the tank wagon on the train it wouldn't be on it. Having the tank on is essential as our smaller loco with a big train uses a fair bit of water. It saves much more time being able to take water on the move than having to stop everywhere to use hydrants
