Great review Gert. This one has eluded me for some time. Based on my experience with other brands and their CS releases, you find some sharper edges due to their young age. I have seen positive reviews of Glendronach CS and my interest is still there to acquire it if/when it makes it's way to my market. I have had the 12 and the 15 from their core range. The 15 is fantastic, somewhat a sherry bomb. I managed to get the 18 year old in 2023 which will be enjoyed at a special occasion. Oh yeah the politics aside, you enjoy what you enjoy, right? Cheers!

Don't know about the background or politics, I just drink for enjoyment. Haven't tried their CSs but enjoy the basic 12 year and especially the Revival 15 year. CHEERS!

I very much want to try this Glendronach cask strength! I am happy getting a sherry hit once in awhile with the Glendronach 12! Peter @Whisky Is A Journey highly recommended this Glendronach expression to me yesterday! I'd grab this easily if I can find it locally or order it from a terrific AB spirits store that's close to me in a province next door in Canada. I have heard terrific things so it's a "Yes, definitely for me!!" Terrific video and thoughts Gert! I am fine with Glendronach. I dislike the 'politics' that go on about different distilleries/companies. I always respect people's preferences. That this one is less sweet than the Edradour is a good thing as I like less sweet expressions for the most part. Lately I am looking for expressions of scotch that are ex-Bourbon cask aged as I have had so much scotch for the past few months with a lot of sherry. I enjoy that, for sure, and I love a mix of Bourbon and Sherry aged scotch but sometimes I just want ex-Bourbon casks!! I think this will tick the boxes for me and I hope to have a bottle soon and hopefully a backup and it's a bit difficult to find here! Thanks for the awesome video!! Cheers!! 🙂
