My mom used to sing this to me all the time when I was a kid. She lost her battle with cancer in 2008. Im an absolute emotional wreck every time I listen to it but it always reminds me of how much she loved me.

I cant believe I found this song after so many years. My dad played this song in the car when I was still a small boy and the tune just etched intself in my memory. Today, at work I was doing a task when i suddenly heard familiar tune on the radio. I quickly realised this was the song I heard in the car all those years back. Without wasting time, I I pulled out my smartphone and shazamed this song. Now I've finally been able to identity this song that's been in my head for so long. What a great day!

I came across this just now after many years while looking for something else, and it brings back a very tender memory for me. I taught English abroad for several years. During my time in the Far East, one of my teaching colleagues was recently engaged, and told me that he wanted to sing this song to his fiancée. He asked if I could if I would write down the lyrics to this song for him to sing to her, but wanted to practice because his English skills were not strong. I certainly agreed, and thought it was such a beautiful gesture. I listened over and over and typed everything out for him. When I presented him with the printed lyrics, I found that the song was not for her, but for me. He sang it to me. I was dumbfounded. I had no idea! It was me that he loved, but he married her anyway. Cultural and age differences would have made any lasting relationship with him virtually impossible in the long run, but it was such a sweet and beautiful thing to realize that someone loved you in this way.

Gosh I wish I can go back to 1987 again, I feel like quality of life was so much better then than now, music, TV shows, movies was very good, people were nicer, friendlier and more open then, clothing materials were made of better quality then, you got more for your money back then and there was less anger & anxiety going on in this world.
