Having worked AT the Snapper factory 40+ years that is one HUGE misconception, the Snapper rear engine rider went through MANY engineering changes sometimes from one Series to another aka Model to another ALL the parts are NOT interchangeable, ALL adjustments are NOT the same and if you watch ANY Snapper KZfaq vidios BEWARE if they DON'T tell you the actual Model / Part number / aka Series they are working on, as a matter of fact many call this type of Snapper the SR1433 which is NOT & NEVER has been the Model number, it was just a marketing idea by a woman at the time.

IF that Serial plate says it's a 331415KVE then the Part Number is 80861 and the Series is 15

These mowers are so simple, way less moving parts, super reliable! Sadly I just sold mine as I now have a John Deere Zero Turn mower...

@@GlennsSpeedShop ALL Snapper belts are NOT the same sizes, take your Model number off the Serial plate & go by that DON'T follow KZfaq pages

How do you adjust the tension on this belt

DIFFERENT based on the particular Series / Model that is found on the Mower Serial plate decal, SOME are NOT adjustable. With the Model number you can get a Operators manual that tells you what you need

We are in Albany. My dad lived in Newport and had a building in Toledo. We have a LOT IN southeast

I didn’t know that it had 3 pulleys. When I got mine used it only had 2 in front. Not sure what burned up my new belt. But it smoked it the 3 time it got used

I have had 2 of these that the belt was routed wrong. Are you using a double V or a single V belt. You have a drive pulley on the engine, a driven pulley on top of the blade and a tensioner pulley connected to the pull up Handel on the right side of the deck. Review this video for proper routing. The belt should last many seasons.

@@GlennsSpeedShop okay in your video it shows you putting on 2 idler type pulleys. The one I have is not on that side it’s opposite of the handle clutch.. yeah it’s a double V type belt I put on. Not sure if I should get another idler pulley for the opposite side too. What do you recommend.
