Skál to your dad. He was a warrior. I've never piped these particular marches but love listening to them. My grandfather was US Army and did Normandy through to the Rhine crossing. Those men were men, aye.

Every soldier, from every nation, are the same. Enrolled into a brotherhood where their immediate concerns are: 1. Will I measure up? 2. Protect my comrade(s) in my squad 3. Attack the "enemy" (who have been tricked into the same bullshit situation) 4. What the fuck am I doing here? 5. How can I escape this world of shite without being seen as a coward? 6. Fuck this....I am now withdrawing from this insanity into my own mind....it is safe....you cannot touch me, for I am insane.....I no longer wish to be a tool of government, therefore I must be insane, certifiable and sent home, invalided. “Why, of course, the people don’t want war. Why would some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best that he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece. Naturally, the common people don’t want war; neither in Russia nor in England nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship… Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.” - Hermann Goering (as told to Gustav Gilbert during the Nuremberg trials)

So me being me I followed the sound to a Chinese Christian Private School and here were members students of the School Playing the Pipes and Drums in full kilt and attire. They played very well mate

In case anyone is confused by Robert's comments below, what he really meant to say i think was, "Hold on to the stirrups of the Scots Greys..." According to legend, the men of the 92nd Highlanders hung on to the stirrups of the Scots Greys during the cavalry charge at the battle of Waterloo. Both regiments record this event.

The Inn Pin was once described as “with an overhanging and infinite drop on one side - and an even steeper and longer drop on the other.” The shape you see here is misleading as it's the end on view. It is really a flake of rock set into the side of the hill. www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2444600 shows the side view. The view in the video is from the left end of the side aspect.
