This reminds me of when my ex best friend left me and then became best friends with another girl. She just seemed so much happier without me it just pains me everyday to think that I failed as a good friend and appeared as selfish. I always think ‘Was I really like that for those two years we were best friends? Is it my fault?’ Now, I have to go see her in about a week probably because one of my former classmates invited me and the whole of my previous class(I just graduated 8th grade from a small private school that I went to for 11 years) to a bonfire at her house.

No one asked for the story but here it is anw. I met him at 15 when i got my ass sent to a boarding school for “troubled” rich kids AKA a bunch of criminals that bribed their way out of charges on the condition that they agree to complete the program. And yes i was one of them. He was 16 and as clichéd as it sounds, it was instant between us. Except it wasn’t instant love, it was instant obsession. Nothing about it was pretty or romantic, it was raw and downright filthy and the realest thing i’ve ever felt. We’d made it 2 years strong when the time came for him to graduate and after being cut off from his family, his only choice was to enroll in the military. As dumb as it sounds, i told him i’d wait for him and he promised he’d come back to me. Only one of us kept that promise. A year later he was deployed and a couple months after that, his tags were my graduation present.

I think what hurts the most is when your s/o makes it a habit to do stupid things and when they go, you just wish they could do it one more time.

Sure, i wanted to be loved, everyone does, but I never wanted to fall in love. I don’t wanna be alone forever, but it seemed better than being so vulnerable with someone and having them leave. But when I met him, falling in love was the only thing on my mind. I liked him so much, would’ve given anything to call him mine, and I find out too late that he felt the same. By the time I find out, he had moved on. he began ignoring me, almost literally acting like I was invisible, and I couldn’t take it. Than he moved out of the country, and he’s thousands of miles away and couldn’t care less about me. But I think about him every single day, and cry over it all over again bc even tho it was short lived and stupid, it was all I’ve ever wanted. The first song feels like him, it’s hard to explain it, but it does. I obsessively keep everything that reminds me of him bc I can’t seem to let go. I’m so lost and just wishing I could move one, but songs likes this remind me that I don’t want to move on, I want him. Only him.
