Hey there! Do you like Easter Eggs, Glitches, and Fun Facts in videogames like Terraria, Banjo-Kazooie, Super Smash Bros, and more? If so, then you've come to the right channel! I love finding and sharing small details in video games, which is why I create my Easter Egg videos. It gives me a greater appreciation for games I already love, and after watching them, perhaps you'll feel the same way.

The first generation (Japanese: 第一世代 first generation) of Pokémon games, known among older fans as the color generation or the chromatic generation due to the names of the versions released, is the initial set of four Pokémon games released.
Beginning with Pokémon Red and Green, and later joined by third version Blue and special edition Yellow in Japan, the Generation I games were developed beginning as early as 1990 from an idea that Satoshi Tajiri had thought of and pitched to Nintendo with the help of Shigeru Miyamoto. The inspiration for many of the key mechanics introduced in this generation came from Tajiri's childhood interest in bug collecting, with the trading system between two Game Boys being thought of when he imagined a caterpillar crawling across the Game Link Cable between two systems.
This generation was localized into English, with initial attempts to keep the Pocket Monsters name for international use blocked due to the Monster in My Pocket franchise leading to the release as "Pokémon". Further alterations made in the localization included the combination of Red, Green, and Blue into the English versions of Pokémon Red and Blue, using Red and Green's wild Pokémon encounter lists but Blue's slightly improved graphics. The simultaneous release of the games and anime led to an almost-overnight surge in popularity, cementing the Pokémon franchise firmly as a Nintendo mainstay alongside Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda.
Two battle arena games were released in this generation: the mostly-incomplete Pokémon Stadium (Japanese), which went unreleased outside of Japan and only allowed use of 42 Pokémon, and the improved Pokémon Stadium, which featured several special battle modes and a Gym Leader Castle where players could take their fully-trained teams for matches against the Kanto Gym Leaders, Elite Four, and Champion.
The storyline of the Kanto region is contemporaneous with the Hoenn story of Generation III, as revealed by details in both the Hoenn-based games as well as the later remakes of Generation I. The storylines of the Generation II and Generation IV games occur three years after this generation, with details about this link explicitly noted throughout the Johto-based games.

In the mew glitch, if you actually growl at the pokemon with the Special stat of the pokemon you want(In this case, Shellder), when you go to nugget bridge and close the menu, a Lvl 1 Mew will appear. And, if that Mew earns some Exp.(It can't be enough to lvl it up), it will actually grow to level 100!

Yep Species depends on the special stat of the last pokemon fought, and level depends on its in-fight attack modifier (which starts at 7, reduced by Growl)

You neglected one of my personal favorites, and one I found on my own. Related to the wandering NPC's, and being able to herd them, I noticed one guy only walks left and right near the east entrance to Fuchsia City. If you constantly walk east along his wander path, eventually with him not being able to do anything else but move east he'll eventually teleport back. Don't recall how far you need to go, but it was fun to push to the point it gives up.

The reason why the trainer in fuchsia city gym appears strangely: When the game spawns an NPC, it first spawns on the origin of the area, but that is corrected the following frame. If you pause on the this frame however, the sprites position wont be updated, and is placed weirdly.

About the pewter gym skip glitch: If you have any pokemon at level 7, whos second move has 16 pp and whos third move has 36 pp, and then talk to the guy from the right, and keep holding B, once he finishes talking, you will be able to walk through walls.

with the mew glitch if you growl at shellder 6 times mew will be level one and if you give it less experience than needed to evel up it will become level 100 and always listen

Mew glitch also works with the Slowpoke trainer on the route behind Cerulean or a gambler on route 8 but that's later in the game.

The Pokémon “created” through the trainer escape glitch (known colloquially as the mew glitch) can be lowered to level one by giving the Pokémon used to generate the Pokémon -6 stages of attack. This will result in a level one mew. Since level one Pokémon aren’t supposed to exist, and there are problems with the medium-slow xp curve, a level one Pokémon with the medium slow growth curve gaining a small amount of xp will result in it skyrocketing to level 100. This can be done before Brock is defeated, allowing you to let the bodies hit the floor with a level 100 gengar in brock’s Gym!

You can do another interesting thing when rolling the level of a pokemon over from 255 to 0. If such a pokemon has lost a small amount of health its HP will roll over to a very high value upon reaching level 0. This pokemon is basically unfaintable but its HP will be reset if you heal it at a center. You can even trade a pokemon with overflowed HP to gen 2 and it will keep the HP. I'd thought I'd mention it because it's a pretty cool glitch that I don't believe is well known.

If you want to make the mew level 100, growl at the shelder six or seven times, then defeat it. Follow the same steps, but when you encounter the mew, make sure it is level one. If it is not a mew or if it is not level one, change the number of growls. Capture the mew, and fight a low level pokemon. Switch it out for a different one so your battle pokemon gets one half and the mew gets another. You want the mew to get less than 55 exp. If you do it correctly, it should become level 100.

In escapable battle, gary fight at the nugget bridge, pidgey uses sand attack 4 times, charmeleon uses rage... Abra comes out, Rage misses every hit, Abra teleport fails. Got myself in this one twice.

I love how Poliwhirl is a water type and onix is a ROCK and ground type so the rock part... Onix: (after the battle) POLIWHIRL!!! Use me to evolve. Poliwhirl: YEAH OK :D. Onix, with the typing it has, has a 4x weakness to water attacks therefore making that glitch funnier. And to make things better when Poliwhirl evolves into Poliwrath it gets a fighting type (which is also strong to rock) along with the water type XD! Putting pokemon info to good use.

Another glitch that is similar to the mew glitch is gow you get a level 100 widowing before brock. I dont remember exactly how it is but it can take a pretty long time. You first need to beat all trainers in viridian forest except the last one at the and. Encounter a needle to get poisoned and then go back to the trainer. Save on the spot before the trainer and then walk to battle him. You need to get an encounter on the same tile as the trainer encounters you. Remember how I said you needed to be poisoned? Its not necessary, but since metapod is really common it wont have any attacks. Make sure you die by the Pokemon (or poison) and you will go back to the pokecenter. Go to the patches before the forest and encounter a level 6 pidgey (you need to have picked Charmander for this) and growl at it 6 times (this has to be the last encounter in this area.) Go back to the forest and the menu will pop up. Close it and bam! A level 1 widowing. Catch it and make it gain some exp. (do note that it cant be enough for it to level up or it will just level up.) if you done this correctly, then the level should reverse on itself and get to level 100.

you talked about lvl 255 Pokemon but did you know that before you reset it to lvl 0 give it hp up to max then lvl it it will no longer faint in battle but healing in centers and lavender tower heal pad and daycare will fix it potions kill it in loop

Great vid! Another thing on the Mew glitch: if you use Growl on the Shellder as many times as possible, the Mew will be level 1. If you then get EXP for the Mew but NOT enough for it to get to level 2, it will instantly level up to level 100. You can do this with lots of Pokemon you can find with this glitch.
