Now that's my cup of tea! My house is full of sunflowers. I even have sunflower curtains 😊 I've started to use acrylic markers to paint molds. It comes out like crackle effect. That's my new discovery. Thanks Michelle and God bless ❤

Love it, love that you used multiple colors in the center. I was going to suggest you cover up any flaws you didn’t like with a ladybug 🐞 or butterflies etc…And there you did it. Definitely clock was a great choice. ❤❤❤

It's so crazy I was just looking at this very mold this morning because it popped up under my suggestions when I got on Amazon to see of a package was still coming today. And I am so glad to hear you say resin is expensive. I get so annoyed when a certain popular youtuber says, "It's only resin." One day I'm going yo respond to her, "It's only money 🤬." The colors came out perfect. I'll bet those 3 petals were just barely off the heat mat. In the future, you can fix a missing spot of mica. Mix the same color with a tiny bit of your quick coat, then use a brush to just touch up that missing spot, then feather it out to blend it in. 😊❤ Edit: too bad I didn't know it was in NC, it could have made a pitstop here before going home. 😁

I think those three petals might have been hanging off the heat mat so they didn’t cure quite as fast. Still, it’s gorgeous! I love the colors. ♥️

Have you thought of moving the soft petals up, down, twist left or right so they look more 3D and realistic? Also would keep any imperfections from being noticeable. Sunflowers do that in real life. Also would make it look more sculpted.

By sheet coincidence, I just bought this mold, so I appreciate you blazing the trail ahead of me. It is beautiful and using it as a clock is a good idea. I wonder if you could make a bowl if you filled it with clay. Bet you could. I am gonna try. Thanks. Michelle. PS, I was yellin at the screen "don't do it" when you were demolding. However, it's not even noticeable. PS Temu sells what looks like the same long shaft clock for less than $6.

This is stunning! I love the little ladybugs. Would it be possible to put it in a bowl - mold and all - to make a bowl? Or would the petals be too uncured? I hope that made sense. You have a lot of patience to do all the colors as you did…not sure I would have. Great tip about how to brush the colors IN rather than out. Thank you so much! 🕰️💐❣️

It might be able to be done like that but because it curing at different rates, you might just end up with some wrinkles on the softer petals is all.

If you put the mold in the bowl... wouldn't the resin all sink to the low point??? I think it's a brilliant idea, but the scientist in me says "Whaaaaaatttt??"

The resin would be almost cured by the time you can actually mold it so no the resin won’t sink, but wrinkle because the resin is almost cured, hope that makes sense 🥴

Haha I love the impatience to see the end result😂😂 it’s like opening presents at midnight on Christmas. I do have a couple questions: does let’s resin have a powerful fume smell? And does the heat mat increase fumey smells?

I don't smell any fumes and the heat mat does not make them stronger (or smell at all). Hope that helps. I'm not sensitive to odors so if you are maybe you might have a different opinion.

The motor is sold in one size, just make sure the hands you purchase are the same brand as the motor to make sure they fit and work. I get mine at Hobby Lobby and these particular hands are approx. 3" for the minute hand (ish)...

Turned out so beautiful if you were going to male a bowl you would probably have to use less resin. I made the mistake of using to much resin and couldn’t bend it lesson learned

Yes bowls ususally are less resin but you have to fill this for all the leaves to show that's why it's not a good choice for a bowl. My friend did manage to make one of hers into a bowl though, it was hard but she managed to get it to work with this mold.

Try pinching the areas that might have bubbles to get air out. This will not mar your colors
