Risks of Pan-securitisation and the Impact on Development, Professor Huang Ping,
executive vice-president of the Chinese Institute of Hong Kong and the director of
the Centre for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau Studies at the Chinese Academy of
Social Sciences (CASS), and Ambassador Kurt Tong, managing partner of The Asia
Group, USA, offered their perspectives on US-China
relations, the trend of “small yard, high fence” and more. The panel was moderated
by Mrs Regina Ip Lau Suk-yee, convenor of the Non-official Members of the
Executive Council, Hong Kong, and chairperson of the Savantas Policy Institute
