Join us for an enlightening Torah class as we explore the timeless debate between Globalism and Individuality through the lens of Korach's rebellion against Moses.
Discover the profound arguments presented by Korach, who claimed that all Jews are equally holy and need no leader, and Moshe's counter-argument that each Jew is unique with distinct roles.
We delve into the verses that present Korach's seemingly virtuous claim and Moshe's response, reflecting the contemporary debate on whether the world is a global village or a collection of unique nationalities. Does Moshe argue against globalism, or does he support universal equality?
Section Two examines the strengths of particularism, drawing lessons from the Tower of Babel and the importance of individuality in fulfilling G-d's plan. We also address why the Torah appears to support globalism and the potential pitfalls of particularism.
Ultimately, we uncover how we must embrace our unique cultures and personalities to create a harmonious society.

“Individualism vs globalism” is too broad of a net in my opinion. I think as adherents to the Abrahamic tradition (I am Christian), we are a part of a greater whole of the society we live in. That society is not a global one, it’s our family, friends, and community. I’m an outsider to Judaism so what I say is mainly off of vibes, but I see a remarkable and admirable orientation among Jewish people, even those who aren’t necessarily religious, to love their shared heritage and community. That’s something beautiful. It isn’t individualistic nor is it global. As a Christian I wish we had that sense of unity I see in Judaism. Don’t take it for granted. God bless.
