Ontario man arrested after attempting to rob armoured vehicle with SUV

12 күн бұрынA Durham region man was taken into custody Friday night after attempting to rob an armoured truck early in the morning.
The Garda World truck was conducting a pick-up and delivery at a small-town bank when a man in a stolen SUV allegedly rammed into it intentionally.
As Global’s Vanessa Wright tells us, the suspect proceeded to chase the vehicle from Brooklyn, Ont., to Whitby, before finally being arrested.

I thought these people are people of peace? Anyway, I think it's just people seeing what they want to see. A lot of crimes are committed in this city and country and they're not all Pujab or Indian. Your bias filters those ethnicity out and focuses on the Indians or region of people who have been in the news lately. Everyone is saying they're stealing our jobs and now committing crimes so the hate is understandable.

I know It's politically incorrect to write this, but it's just for you because I think you're particularly interested in the colors of the criminals. The courts have an open door policy. Go to the criminal court one day and note the color of each accused, you may be disappointed. Or you can walk down the street and notice the color of every drug addict you meet

Released on bail for sure, while he was already on bail proabably... Like other car thiefs, 75% of them are on bail while committing crimes. If someone violates the condition of their bail why they get bail again blows my mind....

That’s the most unprofessional and irresponsible comment I’ve ever heard a police officer make during a press conference, or press briefing! I was in law-enforcement for 35 years and the amount of money that is stolen or is available has never been released. This officer needs to be disciplined by the Toronto police service and probably removed from his duties as a media relations officer.

He never mentioned the amount, it almost sounded like he was implying they someone knew how much was in there, that it was not a regular amount. Such a amature job it could be this guy and some dummy working at the depot, maybe they are trying to smoke him out. Or maybe he thought the presser was over and he was just chatting with them. Being a good human and being taken advantage of. 🍁 I was odd, it does not matter how much they could have got.

Detective says he's not sure what was going through the suspects mind, or what his end goal was ? But those trucks do transport a large quantity of cash.. and it was coming from a bank, making a delivery, and pick up, so we can almost assume there was quite a bit of money.

I have gone to a soup kitchen everyday for over half a decade. In my city everyday any homeless person or poor person can get three separate and nutrionally complete meals from three separate locations starting as early as 9am to as late as 7 30pm. All they need do is walk there. This excludes produce and other groceries, milk, fruits, sometimes meats and bread for instance which we can pick up if we would like. Incredibly uninformed is one thing, but to make assumptions based off a complete lack knowledge is much worse. No one in Canada has to pan handle for food. At least one of the three places even offer vegan and halal meals. U r laughably wrong.
