I was so hyped for this when it was on kickstarter. It looked like it would scratch a lot of my gaming itches, and planning trips is something I like to do. I opened the box, and 1st thought was, the globes won't fit back in. Oh yeah, that was mentioned during the kickstarter, how hard can it be? I put them all together (didn't have as much trouble as some folks it seems), but also came to the realization that I never want to take these apart again... You also need to take the stands apart to fit them in the box, and I bent one of them putting it together, so that is not happening either.... Ok, all that trouble, but the game has to be good, right? RIGHT?! I played a solo game, and it just went so fast, didn't scratch any itches. I found it to be just an ok filler. You are so dependant on those random card flips. I knew what I wanted to do, but couldn't. So, yeah, great review, Jeff, you are right on the mark.

"You have broken something like this in your past." Friend, I broke something like this while listening to the review. With production on modern games becoming...let's be honest, imbecilic in it's extravagance, I feel many need a fragility ranking scale.

It's sad the game doesn't approach its theme. I loved how many of the destinations were taken from board games even though, thematically, flying from Teotihuacan to Carcassonne is not a thing and will never be a thing.

Great review! Fellow reviewer here, and this was by far the most disappointed I've ever been by the final version of a game. I actually couldn't even get the clips to go in some of the globes, so it was half unusable. For me the big issue is that we all expected a very light game which was boosted by some awesome components, and ended up getting the most fiddly, tedious and messy game most people will have in their collection...with very light, unrewarding gameplay. Plus it takes up half a kallex.

I’ve been waiting for a negative review of this game to come out. The production quality took a huge dip in this one. Only one thing I had damaged were they able to replace and half of replacements were broken too. I haven’t gotten it out to play yet.

I haven't even played my copy yet (it arrived yesterday), but just the annoyance of putting the globes together (the clips... - in fact one of my globes will not take any of my clips at the top of one of the hemispheres) and the fragility of the stands (again, the clips - 5 of mine are broken) has me wishing I had not backed this game (and I loved Canvas). My version of the game is basically 2-3 player now because of broken components, before my first play, and I have never broken a single game component before in my 300+ game collection. I am very disappointed.

I disagree with the overall evaluation of the game. It is a quick intense game when you do the total ( draft 7 bucket list goals). There is a letter+number code to quickly find the city if your world geographical knowledge is not at the top. The simultaneous gameplay keep you engagé all game long. There is 36 destination and in a game, only 6 won’t show up so you have to manage your priority, which is the hearth of the game, especially if you have 7 bucket list goals and 2 general goals to manage. I understand your point of view for the quality of the component. But for the price point, I don’t see what could have been done best. My copy after more than 10 plays is a little « dirty » du to the marking but still look good; try to dry erase at first the wet erase only the remaining.I salute the effort to have a realistic 3 D spatial puzzle and enjoy it. I hated planet because you totally control over your game; in Globetrotting, you know the odd of remaining European destination on future turn so you can envision your risk skipping one to advance another trip.

The Teotihuanán image is incorrect and looks like an imaginary Mayan pyramid in the Yucatán peninsula. Not impressed about that.

This game is total butt TBH. That globe was so frustrating, The markers sucked, drawing the path across the thing that held the globes together, the annoying end game cards, this game is going down as the worst game ive played in a long time.
