Glocktopus Fight (Cultist Ending)

This run was on the hardest difficulty.
It was on beast level 2, cultist route which is the hardest route, and even arsenal mode (arsenal mode is harder than blessed mode since you have a chance to get useless guns instead of good items)
And yes, I got clone in this run, I was very lucky
One last thing, I'll post the full run some day.

In the cultist's past inside EtG 'they' did kill one of main gungeoneers (obviously not canon).. maybe thats why they hate them.

@Julo Micha Yeah that's fucked up but to be fair. Robot even tried to resist his programming directive which is to kill the last human but it was no use. His sole purpose is to kill all humans. I just feel bad for the cultist man.

Imagine Enter the Gungeon having a new update called "BUT I'M NOT GUN YET" and add this boss including the other bosses as well as new floors, characters, guns, and items... (Sadly I don't see that coming true but it would be fun tho)

Turns out if you jump, you also roll and it gives you invincibility, so essentially just spam jump as much as you can whenever the boss decides to Tohou you.

Unlike enter the gungeon, where u need to do precise dodging, if u constantly jump, u are almost always invulnerable.

@@NotABirb True, but then it isnt much of bullet hell if you can always dogde all the bullets without skillful maneuvers, in my opinion, exit the gungeon is simply the inferior game

@@NotABirb it’s more complicated than it looks. You can’t land where there’s bullets so you definitely need to do some planning. You dodge all bullets while in the air but what comes up must come down

I just realized, this end is kinda justified due to the cultists past in etg. Technically because he killed player 1 he would be seen as a villan so yeah they would blast off without him

That wasn't canon and was considered a friendly duel. I think it was just a reference to most sibling fights because the cultist is after all designed to be a player 2, and most little siblings will always be player 2 in every game they play with their older siblings. It was never canon and didn't happen in the main gungeon lore.

@@LolerzzLolerzz It comes down to personal taste tbh, I actually like the more arcade-ish style of gameplay quite a lot. And sure, it isn't like ETG, but I actually think thats a good thing, If it was just "ETG but again" then it wouldn't be really worth it. But what is so bad about it??? I have a lot of hours sunk into both games, and I don't see what makes people think this is a bad game. Again, ETG is better in a lot of points, but XTG still holds up as a pretty good and fun sequel.

Glocktopus is one of my favorite video game bosses. He's a true bullet hell. He isn't actually that hard, once you learn the boat mechanics the first phase is a breeze. Sure, the 2nd phase is tough (I'm looking at you, that one attack where he sucks you into the middle of the arena), but it's easier to learn than the hardest bosses of the first game. This is still an impressive feat, and I'm not trying to belittle your achievement. And this does bring up a good question: What IS the hardest boss in the gungeon series? for me it's resourceful rat.

@@50centauri I've only fought old king once and I won. I only went to abbey to get any unlocks I needed from that area... he is definitely tricky. I'd say he's the 3rd hardest boss in enter, and somewhere in the top 5 for both games.

I completed the same difficulty, hard part was beating the Dragun and the Glocktopus since I didnt have items that made me deal some damage.

@@Derpy_Bird427 no, that's because the cultist skin isn't in the time hole (like the alternate skin of payday and the Resoucerful rat), so they put a skeleton instead those Skins (cultist is so underrated than they never put his own skin on the time hole cutscene)

@@atendentedomarket7545 oh I always interpreted it as the cultist died young (since he has the nerf gun amd friendship cookie) and then was resurrected by a necromancer/jammed priest, so he was trying go to his past to prevent his own death due to one of the playable charactors.
