Oh wow! It’s already on four? I still have the first edition with an update pack. I laminated the stickers and a map file on BGG before the removable stickers came out. Then they came out days later lol Jumped the gun on that. :p

May I ask how is the 4th edition? I heard some of the backs of cards are slightly different so you can tell the difference and also the enemy cards don't fit in the sleeves?? I'm looking to get GM but worried I might get a defective printing eeek! cheers

There are apps on iOS for the campaign book to hide things you really shouldn’t see until you run into them. Plus an app for tracking campaigns. Not sure about Android.

You can only do what you can do. So that piece wouldn’t happen in that case. Good question!

They just keep track of summons using the colours between the card and location on the board. So you know which summon is which.

Each hero has cards with titles specific to the character for attacks. Additional weapon cards are gained and either exhausted (recovered and useable again if you long rest). Otherwise they're consumed for the scenario and useable in the next one. All depends on the icon on the card. So the weapon cards are extra special. Hope this helps!

As a new player it's rather hard to get into this game, I wish to do right but I know that I haven't taken advantage/disadvantage into consideration when I played the 2 scenarios (that's as far as I've come.. :D). So I came across this video and figured I'd ask, so thanks once again for the quick response.

Hi, no they don't draw 2. It is a normal attack so 1 card. They would only have advantage if the guards had 'strengthen'.

Scoundrel was poisoned wouldn't that mean they had advantage?

I feel like Mage Knight and Gloomhaven are very different games. I don’t think one replaces the other and they can both co-exist as amazing games. Obviously with Gloomhaven being newer, it’s got the attention now. But the game deserves it!

X level cards can be added at any time! Although its good to get a game under your belt first so you can see what you like and dislike before swapping cards in and out. Cheers!

If I remember correctly, no. I believe enemies block line of sight to enemies behind them. I would have to double check but that is my gut feeling.

@@RollingSolo In fact, the only thing that blocks LOS are walls and closed doors. No figure, friend or foe, blocks LOS, so yes, you can shoot through any figure and enemies can do also. Silly, but RAW, it is like that.

Hey Warpaint! Great questions and thoughts here. Having played it myself I still haven’t finished it yet. However, running a channel cuts into the ability for me to do that haha It certainly is 100+ hour game. That’s a positive and negative. Amazing bang for buck but hard to complete. The videos include a lot of rules explanation and so the pace is slow. If I played the scenario solo off camera, I could get through it in 30-45mins for the whole scenario. On the insert, it certainly could use one! I have a Gloomhaven Storage video that would help in how I used the original insert and added a cheap $15 organizer tote to put inside the game. Gloomhaven has such a large number of standees that if they were minis the price of the game would be around the $300 mark easy and the box would be even bigger. Overall for $100ish this is one of the best bang for buck games out there. Even at the increased retail price around $120-$140. The card mechanics instead of dice are brilliantly designed. I love it. At the end of the day if you don’t think you’ll have time while you own the game then it doesn’t sound like it would work for you. There are more compact experiences with less content like Sword & Sorcery for example out there. You’ll pay around the same price but get less scenario content. Cheers!

I like them a lot. I have FFG and Mayday. Both are great quality. Mayday is slightly cheaper so there's that. I hear you on finding sleeves with the right length. It can be a pain sometimes :P haha
