I can REALLY recommend King of Dragon Pass. The reason for me personally is, it shows this game was conceived by people that actually have a grasp of anthropology. Sadly it's quite rare that this science is considered much when fantasy worlds are designed, when really, it should play a prominent role in that. The Orlanthi are barbarians but they don't all just muck about being Conan carricatures, their minds constantly preoccupied with their divine purpose of being barbarians. They turn out to be people just like you and me, except the way they learned to survive as a group makes them inclined to depend on raiding etc... The game is just so full of these typically human situations. There's a sense of "social structure" to how their culture works. It's intuitively obvious what roles their myths play in how they make sense of the role everything is to play in how their society functions. And of course the wonderful folk music score fits the bill perfectly. And hey what do you know, it's really just a fun game to play. two thumbs way up!

Exactly my thoughts! I like how crazy pretenders in Dominions can be, like a bloody fountain, angry tree or a guy riding another ... guy-thing? The designers certainly were inspired by many different cultures. The graphics is kinda dated though (by several decades), but still the game is adorable.

Would you have any interest in doing any Glorantha lore or history videos? So much information about Glorantha is scattered about in books, supplements and adventures across multiple decades and can be very difficult to penetrate. With the new roleplaying game and this board game, it would be great to have an outlet discussing some of the historical and mythological elements of the setting to hopefully bring more people over to the game.

I lived in a small town, where house have garages that look like barns, but are actually horse stables. In side these garages/barn/stables were items that were set on the shelfs, but never used when the times changed. You find horse harness, or tires for a model T hanging on the walls. I bought a tin of axel grease that was made for horse drawn carriages that was made in the 1870. I though it must be worth money. But no, I wish I had my two bucks back. At that time, in high school, I would play D and D with my friends. We would stay after school, and use the empty class room to play games that lasted days. Eventually, we were banned from school when some one was caught weeping in the hall because they character was killed. We Moved to the loft of the of friend's garage/barn/stable, because it had be converted to a apartment. We played on a table made saw horses, and a sheet of plywood. That was decades ago. I went back to that town, and met one of the people I played with. I was at his house, and he had something to show. In the garage/barn/stable was the last game we were playing, still set up, waiting for us to come back. My note book, with my hand writing was still there waiting. I can still remember the half finished game. It was very odd. I'm not even sure everyone is still alive, but if they were, I'm sure we could finish the game.

I am now giddy with the sheer Englishness of it all. They both go on to enthusiastically remark upon and review a COLOSSAL game which, as thoroughly evinced, is truly epic in scale yet playable by mere mortals. By the end of which I find myself in a pub wearing a turtle neck sweater sipping a pint of warm beer out of a glass while being suddenly aware that the word 'fortnight' means more that just the title of a video game. Oh, and wanting to play Glorantha: Gods of War as well.......

Love the content. Could you make a video about the steam wagons of the early 20th century? I feel as though you would be one of the best to do them the justice they deserve. Could be a long video about steam engines in general, the longer the better!

Love Glorantha, I understand ducks have a place because a lighthearted thing should be in there but RuneQuest putting them front and centre in EVERYTHING for quite a while made it be known as that "ducks RPG" very unfairly and that predictably really held the game back.

I’m loving this game. Can’t get enough playing of it. Liking it even more than Cthulhu Wars.
