A few days ago Ramirez's mass was performed in Voronezh (Russia). I played the guitar part and this music is just incredible. It was very nice to play music like this.

@@ekunsa Hi "ekunsa". 😀 Firstly, it's not a piano she's playing. It's a harpsichord, an instrument that kind of looks a bit like a 'piano' but sounds very - very different. And, if you look carefully, she's playing superbly, keeping the tempo of the music, as her instrument plays a very important part in a piece of music such as this. Also, consider that, the members of the orchestra have to concentrate in their notes and the maestro's movements, so no time for smiles. The Choir is a different story. They enjoy what they sing and that reflects on their faces and body movements. Thanks for your response. 😉

Une très belle version. Et parfait pour le clavecin. Toutefois, au début, on voit une guitare folk avec cordes de métal. Pas du tout approprié pour cette musique. Normalement, guitare espagnole avec cordes de nylon.

We got hit with fire it was at st. Mary's Church during an 11-year Revival it started around 1957 up into the 1960s the nuns hollered Addis you're going to get saved today We Were Young so we asked okay what what do you want us to do she said you're going to be anointed by the bishop with oil today close your eyes tell Jesus you're sorry for your sins and ask him to come into your heart so we did then we opened our eyes and all of us were weeping we were on fire for Jesus we told all our friends about Jesus then we went to another church and school which was much further away it was Saint Agnes and the maidens of Christ told us do you want to get saved and go to heaven so they took us in this room that was inside the church she pointed to a statue and said through the blood of Christ is how you get to heaven they would give us an hour of Catholic religion and then send us out to recess why we were out at recess all the nuns came out carrying their Bibles with them they were old school nuns in Long habits they said we forgot to explain this other scripture to you so we sat down and listened one time Fox Theater showed a bad movie so our principal Sister Mary Cordell was small but mighty she took two other Nuns with her she didn't want anybody to drive them down I think it was about 17 miles it was long they prayed the rosary all the way down and back they didn't get home until dark they talked to the owner of Fox Theater he promised never to show a bad movie again so from then on they listed all the movies we could see and not to see in back of the church it was a powerful Revival I remember everyone wanted to be Catholic many Protestant ministers came into our church all my friends begged me to take him down to talk to a priest so they could join the church so what was this fire that we got hit with his name is Jesus

Que difícil es interpretar una obra ajena a tu cultura en general... compartimos tantas cosas con Europa pero tenemos una cultura distinta. Se nota en la interpretación de esta gente que no es un motivo de festejo, no suena a carnavalito y lo tocan de una manera tan monótona. Sin la energía de un carnavalito como tal, sin la necesidad de ver los acordes plaqué tan pesados del piano y la guitarra tocandolo con un estilo de rasgueo muy aburrido... le falta claramente el estilo, pero se aprecia la interpretación. Pese a todo, me parece genial el contraste de cultura con una obra con tantos recursos nacionales siendo llevada a otro pais

Tiene cierta complejidad que lastimosamente por la distinta cultura no se llega a apreciar en esta versión al no tener una noción de lo que se está tocando con exactitud. Debería ser un canto mucho más alegre ciertamente, los carnavalitos en Argentina son justamente festejos. Es lapidaria la interpretación. Ojalá un día tengan el placer de disfrutar de nuestra tierra y traer una versión fenomenal (con la mezcla entre la música propiamente francesa, muy rica, y la latinoamericana)
