My son, who was severely depressed, was writing in his prayer journal and gold glitter filled the paper as if it had been glued on. It didn’t change his depression, though, and I didn’t think it was from God because of that. It still makes no sense to me.

My life was forever changed in one of his meetings... 👋 I don't understand why people put God in a box... The fear of the lord is not what Jesus said to do!.. I was very jaded by church as well, however, I found that I'm no better than Jesus... why wouldn't people betray me? 🥰😇 They played their part to get me to total surrender. My fiance was transformed by the light of God in me. Not by me. Gods manifest presence is showing up in people's houses now. 😇

I've only listened to the first 3 2\3 minutes and overwhelmed at such foolishness. So calmly, lying to those who Jesus suffered for them to have Eternal Life. Find this as a biblical way the Holy Spirit functions. Find this in scripture. If this conversation makes sense to anyone, you don't know your God, you don't understand Him and His ways. But you believe this deception over testing it with scripture. Study to show yourself approved unto God. What you want you'll go after bc you want God more than your own life. Or you will accept lies bc the experiences are real. Well, God is not about experiences and doesn't want us to trust in experiences. God wants us to have faith. Faith is only based on God's written word and God honors His word above His own name.

It's not about "finding fault," it's about discerning a false spirit from the true. If you're ok with lies, tricks, occult practices being done in God's Name, then you don't know the "Father God." He forbids occult practice and He will not be mocked.

I had stopped sharing various experiences because the religious people will try to make me think I was wrong and that I am spooky.

To borrow from an article I came across recently, "The clear teaching of the New Testament is that God gives spiritual gifts to the church for the common good of the saints (1 Corinthians 12:7) and to empower her mission to evangelize the world (Luke 24:48-49; Acts 4:29-31; 1 Corinthians 14:24-25)." There is a very real temptation to judge a ministry or one's own spirituality based off of whether we are seeing visible/tangible manifestations (especially in more charismatic circles), as opposed to the fruit and God's convictions and His word. And many a ministry has continued long after the glory has departed because they are still seeing the odd miracle or sign (because a loving God will absolutely respond to the faith and needs of those who may show up or sacrifice to seek healing from those speaking in His name, even if the ministry itself is no longer honoring him). In some especially perverse cases, ministries even fake signs - something you and I can find in our day, and even in scripture (2 Thes 2:9; Deut 13:1-5). You're not wrong, not at all about a wicked generation both failing to interpret the signs of the times, and about constantly seeking a performance, a God who conforms to their itching ears and sinful demands. I don't know that I disagree with what you're saying here at all. I just feel that it also isn't wrong to desire miracles, signs, and wonders from the God we are seeking and that the world desires to encounter that is bigger, closer, and more glorious than the loud and destructive forces they encounter every day in their lives and in their governments. Is it wrong to desire to see love expressed practically? To desire to see sickness and disease overcome, to encounter a God who is God over physics and chemistry and not at the mercy of them? Jesus, after all, did promise that we would see these works (as in the works and miracles He did), and even greater as He went to the Father Jn 14:12, and that those would continue until the return of Christ: 1 Cor 13:9-12. I would say - as in all things - it is the heart, the source, the goal, and the fruit that speaks to the righteousness of desire. God will absolutely rebuke the worship of signs and wonders just as he rebuked the worship of those who performed them (Acts 14:11-18), but just as Jesus did not rebuke the desire for greatness and significance among His disciples (but redefined it as serving all and glorifying God in humility), He neither condemned the desire for signs and miracles and triumphs over a supernatural enemy, but promised greater works as a fruit of the coming Holy Spirit. I suppose a tension that encourages hunger brought in fearful trembling to the feet of Jesus that we might steward this abundance and risky tension with worshipful reverence.

Except it brings no glory to God. Scripture teaches what they do is blasphemy.

@@rpiepho365 sure. Bethel teaches a lot about the current supernatural works of God and focuses mainly on God doing something now. I believe God does do miracles now, so I'm not a cessationist, (meaning, I'm not a "God doesn't work now" kind of person) But what Bethel doesn't do, day in and day out of their ministry, is focus on the cross, and how His total and complete and true work for you is finished. Bill even indicates that God delivers people in these crazy awesome ways, like glory clouds and stuff (which I'd like to hear more personal testimonies), but I don't hear about how we are truly delivered and given everything we need by what Jesus already did on the cross. The focus is off at Bethel. The focus is current experience. Bill slightly states the gospel in these interviews, but in their consistent teachings, I haven't found Christ and Him Crucified as the main foundation of their teachings or so called miracles. Christ's work is finished for everyone. They just must repent, come to Him, and believe. It's such a beautiful simple gospel, and bethel makes it confusing and chaotic.

@@rpiepho365 also, they seek God's presence.... A LOT. Like a current manifestation of His presence. It seems to me to be one of their main focuses. I think this is dangerous, because God's word says as believers, He IS with us. What if someone in the congregation doesn't get a physical manifestation? Are they going to think something is wrong with them? Or God has left them? That could really shake someone's faith up. As a true believer in Christ, God never, ever leaves you, whether you sense Him or not. I don't hear this biblical doctrine taught either. And honestly, I would like to ask people who attend Bethel, how often they may feel God has left them because they didn't "experience" anything. That's why teaching sound doctrine first, is so important.

Compare the less than surprised reaction of Bill Johnson when the "glory cloud" occurred (suposedely the presence of God or the Holy Spirit in their presence) with how Moses reacted to God's presence at the burning bush. He fell to his knees, covered his face and trembled in fear. Bill Johnson's daugther-in-law has such a low regard for the Trinity, she thinks of the Holy Spirit as the Genie in Aladdin (and He's blue) and thinks that angels in the Holy Throne Room of God are farting and texting. Not even kidding.

Jesus warned about false prophets in the church with lying sings and wonders. Don’t trust what you see, listen to the message. They offer school of the Supernatural, and they have what is called destiny cards. I watched it on video and it's totally what the fortune tellers do. As far as angels, scripture warns about seeking angels or the worship of them. If I never feel the presence of God, will I still believe? Absolutely, bc faith is in the heart and in the word. Experiences are not to be sought after, nor manifestations. If it isn't in agreement with scripture, it is not God. It's coming from a realm not of God. You boldly ask if I even read the bible. I ask you, do you test what you hear, see, experience or manifests with the scriptures to know what spirit it is of. Jesus taught most of what you addressed. He taught us exactly how the Holy Spirit will function. Many churches are beyond what is written and then tell us the Holy Spirit is doing a new move among us. Chris Rosborough teaches us how to test what is said and how to read in context. Mike Winger, Doreen Virtue Andy Woods are teachers who teach properly dividing the word of Truth. The writings aren’t talking about secular deception, but deception within the church under the label “Christian.” Jesus himself says that false teachers will come in his name. They don’t run around with bullhorns proclaiming “I’m a false teacher who worships the devil.” Instead, they come in with charming personalities, fun stories, claims of supernatural experiences, and in this case…gold glitter from Hobby Lobby.

I watched the clip and he was referencing a ministry in Miami. Who's to say the real thing happened at Bethel and the other ministry manufactured the occurence? I know a guy who was at bethel when it happened and he said it came up from the floor. We have biblical precedence that signs, wonders, and miracles have taken place it only makes sense that God can and still does those things.

How was that helpful to your knowledge or understanding of God's ways? It was wowing you, period. You got lost in manifestations from a spirit counterfeiting the Holy Spirit that would never bring attention to Himself. Jesus isn't interested, or God in giving wow experiences.

If you aren't taught how and why, see if Google assists. ....when I was in a ministry as Bethels, I let manifestations of Supernatural verify that it was the Holy Spirit. Till I googled Kundalini. Now I read in scripture that, first, this is not the Holy Spirit doing the manifestations. Jesus taught exactly what the function of the Holy Spirit was to do. I aslo know,now ,how my faith was not based on scripture alone. I was involved with a demonic spirit counterfeiting the Holy Spirit. Now I know I was deceived by those manifestations thinking it was biblical. I was not testing anything I was being taught or about manifestations or I would not have been blinded. I really wanted the Holy Spirit to do in me the purpose of salvation. It's different now, I actually am really free, like chains are broken off. I know and understand God and likewise, Jesus. .it's something how when I read the word, it stirs me to tears each time. I can say, truthfully, I love the word of God. Now I am alive in Christ.

Hardcore sinners would randomly find themselves lining up in the parking lot for hours without knowing why, and they would suddenly feel convicted of their sins and cry - not knowing why, and then they get into the service and hears a message of repentance and the gospel and gets saved and transformed. How are you assuming something similar wasn't happening to him? And even if it wasn't that kind of experience, maybe it was something that propelled him to find out more about Christianity which then led to him getting saved. Or perhaps he had heard the gospel before that point and understood with his mind but didn't click in his heart, and in that moment it suddenly clicked. Anything is possible. It's a short 3-line comment, it's not gonna include every detail of his testimony, nor is he obliged. A testimony is testifying the God he encountered, not a presentation of all the theological points so that you can assess him and give your stamp of approval. If you want a theological presentation, go listen to a sermon. Plenty of them on KZfaq. I'm interested in how God encounters each individual and brings them to faith, and I loved his testimony!

Hi Nancy, what you are gaining from the preaching is being uplifted to be misled by deceptions. He doesn't use scripture except to take it out of context. Obviously you are not testing what he teaches with the scriptures as we have been commanded by Jesus to do. How can you know what is God's Truth unless you put it to the test?

One of my favorites was his ressurection day sermon 2020. I challenge you to listen to it for yourself and see if it`s not the Gospel. If it is the gospel, then who are you fighting against? I don`t expect you to answer me. I'm not looking to be proven right, just do it if you feel so inclined, if you are at all concerned that things may not be as you've been told. I say this not to lift myself up, but to say, I'm kinda familiar with what the Bible teaches and what you are saying about my brother does not fit with the reality of what I'm hearing coming from his mouth. I've never had this experience of a "glory cloud" but I don`t see it as something God wouldn't do. Nor is it unbiblical. After all, didn`t he manifest Himself as a pillar of fire by night and a cloud by day to His people He brought out of Egypt? What is it to you if the Father so chooses to do this to encourage and edify His people? Is there anywhere in scripture that says he won`t do these things? Scriptures say there will be false signs in the end, but if there is false and counterfeits it doesn't mean there isn`t real as well. Your definition of disorder and my definition of disorder is different than God`s. They caused quite a ruckus in the upper room after all. People thought they were drunk.

@@nancycrews4358 Hi Nancy, I was in the signs and wonders ministry about 4 or so years. Before that I was at a Assembly Of God church, then at a church strong on the word of God. They had a school of theology I went to for 3 years. I studied so much with it that I wanted to get back to studying the bible and reading it for myself. I loved spending time reading, intercessary prayer, and loving on the LORD in worship. Love the hymns. A little back round so you know I was quite serious to know God, His word, and I love prayer. A person can know the word of God, be consistent seeking the face of God and His righteousness, yet, fell into the signs and wonders. I ask myself how could I have been so gullible? I knew the Holy Spirit in me was the same power that raised Christ from the grave. That power is in me to be released to do healings etc.. made sense. Now I understand what scripture says about what the function of the Holy Spirit is about. I heard the word Kundalini and curious of what that is. When I saw that pagans are doing alot of the same manifestations as we do, knew that what I was in is definitely not biblical. Since the Holy Spirit opened my eyes it's like having a new pair of spiritual eyes. Scriptures had greater meaning and life to them. God became bigger and bigger as I started on the awakened journey. I felt the freedom of salvation anew. Chains broken off of the deceptions I was no longer believing. Ppl like Bill Johnson, Benny Hinn,Kenneth Copeland, the Toronto church, Todd Bentley, and so many more..They are so ignorant what they say and do, and to think, I listened to them. The cloud by day that led the Israelites, was by no means a cloud of God's glory. Jesus did not do signs and wonders for the attention of the ppl. When there was a need He had compassion on them. Mainly scriptures was about His teachings about the Kingdom of God. He knew ppl were interested in being healed, but Jesus knew they had only a few who wanted to know Jesus, wanted to know about the Kingdom of God, gave up businesses to follow Him. Jesus came to give them life, but His Truth didn't give them room to live as the world. They were guilty and the Pharisees really worried that He'd be followed and not themselves. They would lose their prestige among the ppl, they would no longer live the easy rich life. So, the plan was to have Him accused of false accusations to be crucified. Being a believer is not an easy road. We are called to be holy, die to self, forgive those who transgress against us, walk on a narrow path for it is that path that leads to life. Humility, integrity, self control. Being faithful and endure to the end, Our encouragement is when Jesus said, the things we suffer in this life for Him is not to be compared to what God has prepared for those who love Him. If you saw it you would just deny it some other way, I visited the little church on the hill one Sunday night to se what all the fuss was about and filmed the “Glory Cloud” for about 5 whole mins. I still have it on my Dropbox, just looks like shiny gold dust twinkling in a area about 30x 30 ft above the room. Really the most impressive thing though was the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit, in the moment the “cloud” really didn’t matter much because Jesus felt so close. So whatever that’s my story with it

And wear are all the videos of the dead being raised?

@@lovindatJoan - in case it's helpful, in 1 Corinthians 14 Paul contrasts "praying with the spirit" with "praying with the understanding". So the implication that I draw from that is that when he "prays with the spirit", he doesn't understand what he's praying. Here is the verse I'm talking about: What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. 1 Corinthians 14:15 KJV

@@lovindatJoan - I realized just now that the verse immediately before the one I quoted in my previous comment makes it even more clear that when Paul talks about "praying with the spirit", he is talking about praying in an unknown tongue. Here is that verse: For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. 1 Corinthians 14:14 KJV

@Angel - did you read the verses that I quoted? Paul talks in verse 14 about how praying in a tongue is his spirit praying and how his mind is unfruitful when he does it, so he also prays with his understanding (v. 15). What I didn't quote earlier is that in verse 13 he instructs whoever speaks in a tongue (the context here is in a corporate setting) to pray that he might interpret. So nobody there is assumed to understand what he spoke in the tongue unless the interpretation is given. Paul also alludes to this in verse 5.

You are to test the spirit as instructed to do so in scripture :) Paul had so much insight about staying in truth and avoiding error. So yeah you are to judge! :)

This is an unfair question because it reads into OP’s comment and accuses it of denying a scriptural truth that was never denied to begin with. “Get into your Bible” does imply reading that the earth is filled with God’s glory. You just won’t find glitter in there.

In fact my lenses or for that matter anybody's lenses have nothing to do with the facts. the facts are that there have been many, many negative things said about Bethel and that has nothing to do with negative lenses at all. I'm not saying I agree with what Bethel has been accused of but to say that my view is subjective, because I am somehow negative is just not true. Bethel has come under fire for their Sozo ministry (not sure of the spelling), they have been criticized about Grave sucking, Pastor Bill preaching about Jesus needing to be born-again and many, many more. The fact that he feels fit to do some damage control is the right thing to do. This doesn't mean that he is afraid of men or that he is a slave to people's opinions. He is a very brave man of God but he is also a steward of the flock and of the church God Has given him.,As the undershepherd and as such he has the obligation to protect the image of Bethel don't you think? That means he MUST do damage control, he MUST do videos to offer a more in deptt discovery of what Bethel is all about. Now instead of people hearing from others what Bethel supposedly believes and practices they have the chance to heart all about it from the Lead Pastor! I was there...it wasn't coming from the ventilation.... It rose from the floor but there was no natural source for it on the floor. It was as though it was being spontaneously created in that moment. It was a genuine miracle. It was more visible when it rose higher but that's not where it was coming from

There is a huge chance you're right that it's fake but also a Huge chance that it really was a manifestation. It's very biblical for manifestations from God to occur. I think wisdom searches for truth not mock what it doesn't understand.

Read the Bible and see how people reacted in the presence of God. Moses fell to his knees and covered his face. The Israelites weren't allowed in the area of the tent where the Arc of the Covenant was held because they would die in God's presence. Aarons 2 sons were killed by God with fire because they didn't treat the area as Holy. And the people (not to mention the "preacher") of this church act like it's no big deal. Just an every day occurrence - but only inside Bethel buildings, of course. Isn't it interesting that this kind of thing only happens at Bethel? Are they SO much better than any other church that God makes regular appearances in the form of the glitter and feathers (by the way angels in heaven don't have feathers - that's Hollywood)?

Glory clouds have been happening all over the world. Not a every day occurrence. But anywhere The Holy Spirit is welcomed.....it happens, how wonderful what a blessing.

That is a straw man fallacy. No Christian is denouncing the supernatural, but merely the supernatural claims of Johnson and Bethel church. @@karcharias811 we'll agree to disagree. There are many self professing Christian's that do not believe in the supernatural i.e. signs, wonders, and miracles. Much of it comes from a belief that after the original apostles died and the bible was completed that there was no need for the super natural. The term is cessationism and I believe it to be a demonic doctrine. Also, it's a real head scratcher to see someone lump bethel - a Church that has their core beliefs displayed very transparently which includes at its core the diety of Jesus, His Crucifixion, resurrection etc. In simple terms they embrace the bible and core tenets of biblical christianity, why would you lump them in with Mormonism and Islam? That is the most absurd thing I have come across in quite sometime. Mormonism has extra biblical books and they do not believe in the diety of Christ. It's the blending of a very warped version of christianity and freemasonry. Amongst a whole host of issues regarding Islam being diametrically opposed to Christianity at it's core that faith per the Koran rejects the crucifixion of Jesus, which eliminates His resurrection, His Diety, and His identity as the Son of God... Are you ignoring all of the explicit warnings in Scripture about these very things? We are to test every spirit that comes among us. Bethel church has all but abandoned true Scripture. Bill Johnson has incredibly skewed theology. Christ's Godship is minimized to make room for "little gods" in their church. This is not a spirit that is magnifying the biblical Christ.

Wrong sir. This is a VERY common technique used in the proliferation of propaganda. Its called "Normalization". Bill & Co. Know that they have been discovered to be false teachers and this is an attempt at neutralizing any further attacks. The hubris in these vids in off the charts. These two men as well those eho adhear to these heretical and false doctrines will be judged accordingly. There is still time to repent though because God doesnt want anyone to perish. Its an absolutely stunning case study to watch and listen to these two guys. The fallout from these vids will be ENORMOUS and i can only hope that souls will be saved by coming out of these blatantly confused and tragically deceived organizations that lable themselves as churches.
