Sri Guruji is telling the importance of Rama name through a story. A man served a guru for ten years and asked for a mantra. Guru gave him Rama. He was happy and went out. He came across a beggar who was singing Rama, alms please. He got angry. He then came across a corpse where people are chanting ram nam satya hain. The disciple got angry that he was given a worthless mantra for his services. He went to guru. Guru has given a stone and asked the disciple to go find the value of the stone, but not sell it. He goes to a pan shop and tries to sell it. The shopkeeper thought he can use it to weigh down pan leaves and said 2 rupees. He then went to a medical shop and tried to sell it. The shopkeeper thought it might impress the medical representatives and said 25 rupees. He then went to a fake jewelry shop and the shopkeeper said 200 rupees thinking he might use it in a necklace. Sri Guru now joked about priests wearing big necklaces and carrying them with great effort and felt bad for lord Venkateswara for wearing all those heavy ornaments. The disciple the went to a diamond shop and the shopkeeper found it a very valuable stone worth millions. He said this belongs to king but not a pauper like you. He called police and the disciple was dragged to king. The king recognised the stone and asked the disciple about its whereabouts. The disciple led them to guru. Guru talked to king and sent him back. The disciple then fell on the guru feet and said he leaned a lesson. Guru then told him that just as the stone has different value to different people, the Rama name is similar. It can be used by anyone at anytime but when give by a guru, it becomes a mantra. You can use it the name Rama and it gives you the value as you perceive but when given by guru, it gives you salvation. The human body is very valuable commodity and one should try to make the best value out of it. It is the best gift given by God and should be used to its value. But now people are using it for silly things. If the emperor came infront of you ready with a boon, you should ask for great value. One fellow asked the emperor for a smoke (*) and other fellow asked for a good broom to clean his house. You should be asking ng for a kingdom or ministry but not waste it on silly things. Similarly Rama name is a great boon ando e should use it to get liberation and salvation but not silly things.

The benefit or effect of a particular mantra is equal to all,its all about recognition of value of the mantra.Some use the mantra for riches,some for success,some for studies...but best use is for attaining moksha.Anyhow independent of what purpose the person is using the mantra...it will make sure the person attains utmost benefit,that is moksha.Some will rcognise it and some won't and think about their materialustic benefits fulfilment.
