Living the life of a nomad can be challenging enough. But doing it at 82 without even a bed can be brutal. I am so grateful to Pascal from Tiny Camoers KZfaq for making the effort to come to San Diego County and build a bed for Teresa. I just watched the build video on Pascal’s channel. What a blessing you two are for Teresa. It’s so sad that at 82 she has to live in a van but at least now she has people who care and are helping to make life more comfortable for her.

A bed is an important part of life. Most humans spend a third of their lives asleep, so it is not surprising that their time slumbering can have a big impact on their waking life. At 82, it may be half of her 24 hour day. Good job on getting her a bed. - Speaking of Beds Our beds and mattresses are central to every aspect of how we live our lives. . - Sleeping... For a couple of years, I have listened to a self made hypnotic recording. It's 32 minutes long and I play it on a loop. All night. I named it, "Healing, Hope, and Happiness." It knocks me out sends me into REM sleep and many lucid dreams within minutes. - I used to listen to audiobooks to put me to sleep. But too often I would get interested in the story plot and stay awake for at least a couple of hours. -

Getting a good night sleep at any age is critical to overall well being. I am so happy we were able to help Teresa.

That is so kind of you. I have an idea and I think a console table I already have will work. Not sure. But, there is still money left over from what was donated that will cover anything else needed. I am always coming across people.who are in dire need and sometimes share their stories. There will be plenty more opportunities to be a blessing. Just the fact that you have a heart to help is so encouraging❤

Having lived off grid a few times I found that metal or glass containers keep the mice out, and a kitty cat 🐈😻😄 I currently have a kitty who is an excellent mouser.

I will purchase a van end of next year, my question is “Would you recommend your builder Mark?” How is his Customer Service and his workmanship? This is a big purchase and reaching out for referrals.

Every time min wages go up. So dies every thing else. So you're still not able to afford housing ect.

Raising wages is.not th4 solution unless.th4y can be raised to the level they will really make a dife4ence. In California.that is $47.per hour. As that is not.going to happen the solution really is to provide affordable housing. If that was in place for folks they could manage everything else.

I do not live in my van. I have a homebase. But I travel extensively in my van. Over 100k in 5 years.

When at various locations for longer periods I stay at different places, private property, CORE of Engineer grounds, National Forests, and public lands. In Arizona I usually stay on BLM land. I have the America the Beautiful Pass which helps on the rare occasion I pay at a campground.
