🌟 DESCRIPTION🌟
Developer NetherRealm Studios took an interesting approach to Quan Chi for Mortal Kombat 1, reimagining him as a “lazy, clever fighter” who doesn’t like to get his hands dirty. He relies on his supernatural powers instead of martial arts, summoning skeletons from the ground and tentacles from an interdimensional eldritch beast to do his fighting for him. In fact, Quan Chi’s uppercut move sees him summon a full human skeleton from the ground, which performs the uppercut on his behalf.

The voice actor did an amazing job with Homelander, just how menacing and condescending he sounds with everyone truly captures Homelander’s character and vibe. Really feel the sociopathy in his voice with every dialogue Even if we don’t get Antony Starr, this VA is just as great and fitting for the role. So happy with Homelander and Season 6 of Invasions!

I find these interactions interesting because you never truly see Homelander deal with any actual threats or fighters. He uses intimidation and takes out his anger on normal people, but when you really think about the cast of MK, they're more equipped to handle him than he is them.

Eh, within the context of a fighting game, maybe. But if we were doing it lore accurate I think Homelander would have a pretty good chance of smoking most of the combatants with the exceptions of Liu Kang and Omni-man. Maybe Ermac and Shang Tsung too, if they're able to pull of some soul fuckery.

A lot of these kombatants have powers in addition to be skilled fighters. Like, Ermac doesn't have to fight anyone ever. He can literally just rip people apart whenever he feels like it from a distance.

@@xJC4Rx Yeah but the whole thing especially with this new season of the boys is super are damn near invincible unless you’ve got crazy super strength or some crazy virus. I believe Homelander would totally one shot Kenshi or Mileena but since everyone in this game with a weapon has some kind of magic effect on it, I like to imagine that they can damage and kill Homelander but he could kill a good chunk of characters, Johnny and Reiko are probably the most likely to die because outside of Reiko’s ninja stars they’re essentially just regular fighters. That red aura stuff doesn’t even really seem like any magic and Johnny is just a really fast human essentially. But yeah if someone has mind control, soul magic, have titan powers, or is Geras, or can disorient Homelander, it’s pretty much wraps, fighter or no.

Anyone notice they made the characters more expressive this time during dialogue? Such as head tilts and their eyes looking up and down checking out the opponent. It’s not happening EVERY time but it happens enough either way certain dialogues. We also got a third line with Mileena instead of just the two. They did pretty good here overall even the VA did pretty good. I was really worried about it with his performance of The Terminator.

The nicest interactions are crapping on certain heroes with Peacemaker, inquiring about Quan Chi’s ink, even him asking if Cage wants his signature sounds a bit friendly with a sinister undertone. He doesn’t even pretend to make nice with anyone. Just drops the act and gets to be unhinged as hell in the MK universe. Love it.
