To me, there is no real defense to the question "why are you not spending up to the cap".... You haven't made the playoffs in 13 years. You may have to overpay players to come here on short term, but you should 100% be using the cap this year in an effort to get to the playoffs. Your job depends on it. Take a look around the arena. Your not exactly filling seats. Sometimes making a splash, helps with that too.

Based on last season's stats on recently acquired players the Sabres have added over 400 hits to this team. 👍

We got rid of the coach now, we need to get rid of this guy. It's been thirteen years not making the playoffs, four years with this guy. There is no sense of urgency in his speaking, he refuses to address the goalie problem he has. Before I say anything more, Rinehart, Montour, Rodrigues and Okposo all former Sabres, now Stanley Cup champions. Okposo did nothing in Buffalo except cash his huge checks, glad we have him off the books. I love Lindy but he did have fifteen years here, I didn't think this was a good hire. The longer Kevyn is here the more it appears to me that Kevyn is in over his head and that is what happens when you hire someone in this position with NO experience.
