Born and raised in Newport but left when I was 20. After all these years, STILL chasing The Black Pearl’s clam chowder…there is NOTHING like it on the planet❣️❣️❣️

If you want good coffee, there’s a place just down the road from Evelyn’s Drive In. The place is called the Black Goose Cafe. If you go down the road further, on your left there’s another good coffee place called Coaster Roasters. Must recommend these places for those coffee lovers like me when you visit Tiverton, RI.

Um, no- we locals don't call RI "little Rhodey," but we do, sometimes refer to her as the Ocean State, often only because it says that on our plates. Hope you enjoy the clamcakes- am sure they're delicious!

RI is a wonderful state, so please visit. But please, cool fashionable NYC types, New England is not your speed. Too boring and uncool. Do not move here. To all upstaters/rural NYers, please come RI is a great state!
