Lydia De Vega is a true Filipino champion who gave inspiration to young Filipina girls to be in the field of sports from the early 80's - talking about women empowerment during the period where it is not fully accepted yet by the nation for women to be in a male-dominated world of sports. She earned the title of Asia's fastest woman because of her remarkable athletic skills. It is just apt that the government and the people must give full support to her as she's one of the few Filipinos who put the country in the map for many years. Mabuhay ka Lydia De Vega! and we are praying for your health and fast recovery.

actually no her record was broken by a FIL AM forgot the name but I remember the surname as KNOTT and the record was broken by .01 second less than Vega

@@milkdaddy4632 that’s incorrect. Kristina got 11.27 in a competition that is not SEA games, in fact she only placed 2nd after a Jamaican. So she only beat the national record, not in actual SEA games event. Lydia still holds it up to this day

Magbasa tyo maraming forms nag pagiging hero at ano ba binigay ni miss Lydia de Vega hindi ba karangalan. Itinuturo sa skwela kung ano mga forms o characteristics para tawagin na hero.
