Congratulations to Kirti for this success. Way to go. But there is something I'd like to highlight to GMATClub. Please interview people from normal backgrounds. People from IITs and AIIMS are built different. They are literally top 1% of our population. Even there is a saying in India, "everyone studies for 18 hours a day, but not everyone makes it to IITs". The journey, tips and startegies of these people, however fascinating they may seem, will not be as effective for us. If I'd follow the same strategy, I'd not even touch 700. I need to work 4 times as hard. And nowadays it seems there is a trend among test prep companies too to showcase high scorers who turn out to be IITians. This video, again however amazing, is actually not very useful for us.

Thanks for the comment Halloffame. While I respect your opinion, I would like to mention that we always approach students who have achieved extraordinary success on the GMAT irrespective of their background. By "Extraordinary Success", I do not mean only 750+ stories but our focus is usually on students who have achieved significant improvements in their preparations and scores. When it comes to Indian GMAT students, while your argument is partially correct that the greater portion of these students are from IITs but the process of shortlisting students is not designed as such. We have very well covered some very fascinating stories of students coming from Commerce or Sociology background or of those starting their preparation with a score as low as 400. Here are a few examples: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j7qGos2nqKy0k4U.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bNFperR9r6i6gqs.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ed2PaZmGsK7cl6M.html You can scan the GMAT Debriefs playlist and you fill find ample GMAT success stories of students with average background kzfaq.info/sun/PLn5y_RKBkchQCN7Tw8_OATsr6qfDE_w3v
