I agree. Kids at my school used to put massive rocks in snowballs. Nearly knocked someone's tooth out.

No it is not that simple. I once had a student throw snowball at me and it forced my glasses (the 2 tabs that are on either side of your nose) right into my eye. The kid just did not think, yet I had that plastic forced into my eye. No need to throw snowballs on school grounds at all!!!!!

piers your great but you have definitely not been to a modern school. teachers have to stop it because of safety guidelines

Kids can get hurt in a myriad of ways. They can fall off a climbing frame or fall when they're running. You can't wrap them in cotton wool, not expecting something to happen to them like getting a scraped knee. There's being protective of your kids, and then there's being over-protective to the point of molly-coddling them. It's insane!

In that teachers defence on radiators, most schools are introducing something called a heat pump. It's an outside generator that creates heat and that heat is pumped into the building through vents. It's cheaper and more efficient and better for the environment. That said, he's an idiot for banning snowball fights. In the same light, no concrete playgrounds. No play areas. No trees. After al... a kid might trip or fall off a tree or playground and sue you. FFS let children be children.
