GCSE pupils receive their results today, after A-level students picked theirs up last Thursday. This year’s candidates are the first to sit exams since 2019 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The classes of 2020 and 2021 had their grades assigned by teachers. All pupils will be able to collect their results from 8am on August 25.

Very rude the way the presenter leans in while students are reading their results, and spies on what they are reading instead of letting students read out their grades.

getting grade 8s are easy , just watch youtube videos, use flashcards (anki is a really good electronic flashcard application) and plenty of questions. this is how I got grade 8s in all sciences and maths back in 2022 when I did my gcse (this didn't help me for computer science though , my lowest grade it was a 5)

Im the guy that opened his results first on telly. For anyone watching, when you get to a-level get ready to be humbled. 8s and 9s are nothing compared to what you go through for 2 years in college. Dont get complacent and dont overestimate how much work you have to put in to get As and Astars. Good luck to everyone 👍❤️

Its not the amount they study it’s more the teachers, how much they love and understand the subject and so much more. Its hard to climb up the ladder especially in maths and a 6 is a great achievement I hope to get in my real gcses

@@jasleenpoonie8749 nothing particularly different just do pmt and get every single concept in ur head even if they don't look important or have rarely come up cuz if they do then that's where u can score along with the other common topics, for computer science I mainly user savemyexams (borrowed from a friend) for my paper 2 and then just practice practice and practice other than that do every single past paper available to u for computer science not a lot available so do gcse , ocr, aqa and I'd recommend doing old spec for the core science and maths (only after u finish new spec and have nothing else to do)

Nah bro. There are a lot of smart Asians still here. 6/7 students are just the average Asian trust.

Because in the UK grades are made on a curve... most people will be getting between 4-6. It's not like the US or China or India where the questions are so easy that everyone is expected to get A's or its failure. In the UK its only possible for around 10-15% of the cohort to get the top grades.

@@noobplays-saslow2920 I was asking why someone would be happy about getting 6/7 on national TV. Those scores are average at best. You're not in the top of anything so why would you humiliate yourself and your family on national TV like that? Take the entrance exam in India or China if you think it's so easy. You're competing with millions for a spot in a good university there. I'm not gonna talk about the US because their education system is a joke.

Actually asian students are generally more hardworking and they showed only good results

Asian students tend to work harder in school, on average, than white students, hence, they feature significantly more on these videos where students are more likely to show their results if they get high grades. Don't get angsty, I assure you, they aren't going to hurt you.

I did mine in 2021 and got only 5s, a couple 4s, a 6 in history and combined science and failed RE and Photography with 3s. Then these people go ugh at a 6 🥲
