SNP saved £300m on NHS operations last year when 20.000 Scot’s dipped in to their pensions to pay for them. The SNP government also made a nice £150m profit from the tax take on the pension draw downs. Almost half a billion in total. We’re did all that money go.

Sorry to bring a bit of logic here but if Westminster says there is no mandate when the Scotrish people sent a majority of pro independent MPs to Westminster, voted against a big constitutional change and have a 50% backing for independence when it was at 30% when we won the right rmto have a referendum before 2014 then if Scotland does the opposite for unionist (even though Labour literally have nothing pro union in their manifesto) parties being sejlnt to Westminster as a mandate for staying into the uk. Dry your eyes Westminster loyalists

I just wondered why the SNP object to being governed by Westminster, where they have quite a few seats and therefore quite a bit of influence ( not to mention the most devolved powers of all the UK assemblies), but would be happy to be governed by a foreign power sitting in Brussels, where they will have next to no influence. Seems more than a bit contradictory to me.

They're the Scottish National Party not the Scottish Nationalist Party. They are about self determination. They are not about 'nationalism' in the way you're thinking and their policies are in exact opposition to the BNP, Reform or the Tories of 2024. We welcome immigrants with open arms and the Rwanda policy is absolutely vile. What do you think a BNP supporter would say about those things? People who want an independent Scotland do not think we're somehow better than other peoples. We just want to be able to decide who governs us, instead of a Tory party or right leaning Labour party being imposed on us, continuously.

Whatever you think of the SNP plans, they are costed out better than those of the Red Tories or Blue Tories. I wouldn't necessarily say that theirs has been costed really well, just better than the two colours of Tories.

I've been called a few four letter words in my life but I think that riot is a new one 😂 I'm not sure I'd have SNP and Tories down as bed fellows but at times their parties have had similarly autocratic leaders. Quite right that we need to get away from infantile politics - eg I get so annoyed at PMQ when no PM bothers to answer the actual question and gives a response of their own. But re my original point, SNP policies are costed out better than the Tories and Labour, I'm not talking about how good or bad I think those policies are, just the costings. Tends to be that the parties who best give costed policies are SNP, Plaid Cymru, Greens, parties in Northern Ireland, the Lib Dems, then Tory and Labour. That doesn't necessarily mean that SNP policies are costed out well, just the least worst.
