Thank you. That’s literally the piece of information I was looking for. I have done the Elements program, and I absolutely loved it (so much that’s my daily routine) but I always struggle with the stalls and found that the right information to make progress was missing from Elements. This video should be part of it. Really helpful. Please do more like this 👍

I really appreciate this; I feel like I have the upper body strength; I walked on my hands fairly well when I was younger but I struggle with coordination when it comes to these whole body flow movements. Now as I get older these look really beneficial towards maintaining mobility. Thank you, and have been subscribed for a while now.

Hey Ryan, a question about your low squat position: do you flex the shin muscles to keep balance? I must do this if I keep my back straight, else I fall backwards because of limited dorsiflexion (skeletal, can't do squat about it (heh)). Thanks for another great video with great ideas!
@gmbfit
@gmbfit 2 жыл бұрын
Not actively flexing the feet to squat. See our various videos on the squat position and ankle mobility... and watch for our next video which will also be relevant for this :)

I've been doing elements for two years now, I don't think I will ever manage a stall. Is it really possible for most women? I never see any examples of women performing stalls in GMB content.
@gmbfit
@gmbfit 5 ай бұрын
Sure it's possible, and yes, we've shown it, even if you don't see every bit of content we post ;) But the bigger question is this: Is stalling your goal? Or is getting stronger more capable? Because in the latter case, it doesn't get if you get a stall. *Working towards stalling,* as we show in this video and teach in the program, is the thing that will make you stronger and build your body control.
@MiaNomoNomo
@MiaNomoNomo 5 ай бұрын
@gmbfit Building strength and flexibility is important to me, and that is my main goal. I just wonder if achieving the stall is really possible for most women who practice this. I have seen GMB content of women managing the high monkey but not the stall. It's not shown in elements, and I can't find it on youtube or in the GMB community. The stall is featured a fair bit in elements, for me it's more about managing my expectations, knowing that only a small percentage of women can do this would make me feel less disappointed or knowing that it is very achievable could motivate me to try harder. If you could show a woman achieving this, it would also inspire me. Please share a link if you can. I really enjoy GMB courses, and it's an integral part of my fitness. I'd just like to know if I am realistic in hoping to progress to the stall. GMB courses are excellent, and I highly recommend them. Thank you.

@@MiaNomoNomo "most women," ...probably not, because most women are not practicing this. but yes, women can definitely do it. it has almost nothing to do with gender and quite a lot to do with specifically practicing for it over a long enough period. I assure you, it's also quite difficult for men.
