I'm surprised no one ever heard of one. They was originally called GMC Sprints from '71 to '86. They changed the name to Caballero during their last decade run in '87. Love the 50 series Flowmasters on this setup. Fits the car perfectly. Still need a h-pipe in my opinion. Quite a few companies like Jegs, Summit, Flowmaster, and Pypes makes exhaust kits for them. They fit the same year El Caminos and Malibu 2-door coupes.

Awesome restore! I've never heard of them cause if I saw one I'd just assume it was an El Camino and not even look at any badging.

Buddy had an 81 el cameo. Got snow up to the rooftop in Green Bay after a packers game in 1985. Didn’t make it home till Tuesday. That didn’t sound this good or look this good even back then.😜
