Had a 78 Suburban with one from a X GMC Bus Mechanic. Who Passed away. His wife gave me the truck. Had a 1962 with a Turbo 400 in it with a Allison plate. No Glo Plugs ! My kids called it the Beast ! And when some one would tailgate us they would say "Smoke em out " Daddy. 🤔😂 My Brother would say we can hear you coming from the freeway 3 Miles away 😂

Steve is correct, the Toro Flow diesel was made by GMC, not Detroit Diesel. Yes Detroit was owned by General Motors, but that means nothing. GM owned Oldsmobile too, but you don't call a 350 diesel a Detroit, nor do you?

It is privately owned by a friend in Red Deer, Alberta.

I probably rode one as a child. and like the Olds 350 diesel the Toroflow was said to be GM s diesel blunder.

I'm sure they still run a few of these at the University of Kansas.
