Glad the boys are staring to play better courses. It offers a better representation of their games and where they need to improve. Texas courses with no rough, no trees and par 4’s averaging 360 yards in length aren’t a true test.

I just wanted to add my thoughts on the tracer. If you use it or not it makes no difference to me. It’s cool don’t get me wrong but the addition of mic’s is what’s got me excited. I an old guy and I’m hard of hearing. The mic’s changed it all for me. So much better when it can hear you all. Keep up the great work guys. Your changing the way a lot of people see the game.

Going for technicalities: By the book, when hitting the tree if ball stays in, you still have to identify the ball. If unable, only option is taking a lost ball which is stroke-and-distance

I will say this: the lapel mic is great, but you have to edit in the sound of ball impact to make it even out. I would prefer bad voice mic over bad ball impact. Grant at one point mentions that the ball might not be going as far due to moisture in the air, but this is a common misconception among golfers. While humid/moist air feels denser, water vapor is actually lighter than nitrogen and oxygen (which are less prevalent in humid air). As such, increasing the humidity of air makes it less dense and makes a golf ball travel farther, not shorter. Although it should be noted that the impact on this is fairly minimal... about a yard on a mid-iron shot per 10% increase of humidity. Temperature plays a factor too as the ball will travel farther in hotter air.
