♛ Find the variations shown in the video in this blog-post - chess-teacher.com/nc6-chess-o...
In this video lesson, GM Igor Smirnov shares with you a universal and aggressive chess opening system for Black that works against any first move by White. It's the move 1...Nc6, commonly known as the Nimzowitsch Defense.
Since it is universal, it can be played against any of White's first moves: 1.e4, 1.d4, 1.Nf3, or 1.c4. This opening system is particularly tricky, often resulting in Black gaining a winning position within just 10 moves in many common variations.
Moreover, it proves especially effective against the London System. If White isn't careful, they may fall right into the trap, leading to checkmate in only 7 moves!

Igor, other than being part of the vast Nimzowitsch Defense, I don't see a name for this system. If you don't have a name, I have a suggestion that I like: The Errant Knight Defense. In English, "errant knight" refers to a medieval knight who has lost his way. In your system a feature that is common to almost all of it and that particularly sets up this system of positions is the knight that loses its way and winds up all the way over on g6. I hope you like the name as much as I do. It's yours to use if you wish.

1... Nc6 is the opposite of aggressive. It allows 2. e4 and blocks the c7 pawn which is meant to be sacrificed in order to play e5, or is meant to take on d4 to isolate the d4 pawn and open the file for the c8 rook.

This is a very good system, especially if White doesn't know it. In most lines on lichess, Black scores much better than White. HOWEVER, in lines where White pushes an early h4 (either 1.e4 Nc6 2.d4 e5 3.d5 Ne7 4.Nf3 Ng6 5.h4! or 1.d4 Nc6 2.c4 e5 3.d5 Ne7 4.Nf3 [or Nc3] Ng6 5.h4!) White scores better AND the computer gives a very comfortable advantage. This h-pawn push is quite thematic against Knights on g6/g3. These are not the most popular lines, but you are rolling the dice and/or need to do some homework in these Harry Attack lines if you want to play them in non-blitz games. (You also need to know how to play the Scotch after 3.Nf3!?, though GM Smirnov has some videos on that so not a big deal.)

I see one move from White that could prevent the whole system : what if after 1. d4 ... Nc6, white immediately pushes d5 to chase the Knight ? You didn't get a chance to push e5 yet, so the Knight doesn't have the e7 square to retreat. What would you recommend in that case ?

I'm really intrigued by the universal possibilities of this opening, but at least one hole I think you have here is in covering d4 - Nc3 - d5. This seems like it can get pretty tricky. The knight is pretty much forced to e5, and pawn to e5 doesn't work anymore.
