This is impossibly smooth, and fixes what was once a limitation to all build enthusiasts.. but I feel it may have came too late. GMod is still popular sure, but I felt it peaked in the 2010 era

I installed this and it genuinely felt uncanny having a gajillion props being shook around with little to no frame drop, but it was also beautiful and really allowed me to realize "wow the source engine physics are really good when they can actually be ran at a high FPS"

@@snaek2594 This mod replaces the source physic engine havok with the v-jolt physics engine. which is the one used in most newer games im pretty sure

I love how everyone is testing this thing out and not actually using it in many servers yet because of how much of a miracle this mod really is and how much they just wanna piss about with it to make their brain believe that this is actually happening.

Unfortunately this new engine makes vehicles incredibly slow and simfphys glitch, so still needs fixing.

At this point the drop in FPS is caused more by the renderer than the physics engine

I dont think it is possible to put the mod on there, since it uses .dll files which arent supported/allowed on the steam workshop

Now since gmod has a better physics engine, Can we recreate a gun (Using props) now? Like i mean full on gun, Like has been done in poeple playground. But hasnt been done in gmod, So is it possible now? Probably is very hard to do. Btw i dont mean like a swep or a weapon as in a "Player weapon", Since what i mean is using stuff like actuall props and such.

Make sure you’re on the x64 bit branch of gmod, and multicore rendering is on (which I forget the command to, but you should be able to find it in your options). Other than that, I cant be of much help.

@@Z301B Hm, refer to the issues page on the github (github.com/Joshua-Ashton/VPhysics-Jolt/issues). It has a list of bugs/glitches people have found, which might help you with figuring out the cause of the crashes. Generally, you could try disabling addons that alter ragdolls, and avoid using simfphys. The project is in an early state as far as I'm aware, so expect bugs.

Because coremods is not allowed to upload in Workshop. It's not a mod really, it's just changing some files in Garry's Mod location on your PC

I installed this and saw no change in performance. Is my CPU just too bad? Ryzen 3 2200G. I dropped the bin folder in the root, where the Garry's Mod exe is, like the github page says. What am I doing wrong?

It’s serverside, but you can use it in singleplayer (and multiplayer if the server host has it)

This would make the game work horribly. The base physics are bad. You can't put a lot of objects in one bowl because it would run at 5 fps clip trough each other and just freeze in place.
