Shadower Normal Kalos Boss Solo with (perma) cont4.
This is the one run where I forgot to use a Sparkling Red Pot and Smithing Buff...
P1 - This was tilt-inducing. Kalos' eye-beam attack deals 70% HP damage, and everything else deals 30%+ HP damage. It's difficult to react to his eye-beam attack in time as the starting animation for that attack is super quick. I opted for Khali's link skill over Kanna's link skill (-5%Dmg, 6%HP healing with 30s cd) to mitigate being 2-shotted, though I'm not sure if it made any tangible difference in this phase.
P2 - It felt more relaxing fighting Kalos in 2-1 and 2-2 here compared to P1 as you don't need to be on the same platform as Kalos to attack the boss. There were also more places to move. 2-3 and 2-4 were where things started to get messy; tons of AoE explosions, firing systems, and a rampant Kalos at loose did not make for a pleasant fight. I tried to prepare specific systems to be cleansed after Kalos' FMAs, though some of the times they had to be outright cleansed to reduce the risk of me losing more lives. I found it easiest to stay on the left half of the map as you have time to react to the wave of arrows from the right as they naturally diverge, and the same amount of time to react to the laser beams from the left.
Looking back at the video, I was a bit too hasty at times; I should've been more intentional with my movement.
I'm still waiting to get a RoR4, though I think I should've swapped to my RoR3 in the later parts of P2 as my damage uptime drastically reduced. I think it would've been better to condense more of my damage into my burst with my genesis i-frame and RoR3.
