The Indian audience wasn't ready for this at that time. But it was one of the coolest movies I've ever seen as Zom-Com. Still waiting for the sequel of this movie.

At that time, it was a commercial disaster. But young generations still love this movie.I believe there's a huge fan base for this movie. They should definitely make a sequel now. It will be a hit.

It had a lot of Bollywood centric jokes. When Hardik is talking about his ex being a bitch, that's actually his real wife in a cameo. The sequence of Ariana chasing Hardik around a tree was take at old Bollywood romantic songs

I still remember watching it First Day First Show at Trivandrum. That was in 2012, Everyone thought there will be a part 2 of this movie for sure but after 10 years, it's sad that they didn't made any sequel of this gem😭.. GREAT FUN RIDE IT WAS 🥰 SO MANY MEMORIES OF MY COLLEGE DAYS

Problem is this movie was appreciated more by audience that Pirates movies. Not the family audience who are theatre going. Don't get me wrong, the young folks go to theatre too but only for blockbuster star studded movies. This was before OTTs were popular in India. It didn't make money then so producers are apprehensive. But now that Raj & DK are big on OTT, they have been working on the sequel.

That running around trees sequence with Hardik and the girl was actually a pun on bollywood movies from the 80s. And also that part where Boris reveals that he is actually from Delhi (while mouthing hindi expletives) was effing hillariuos. I feel like a lot of jokes got lost on you two due to cultural difference.

Even the presence of Russians added to the experience because it's totally plausible due to the Russian & Ukrainian tourism in Goa. Similar to Israeli tourism in Manali or the Andamans.

It didn't get any recognition in India. But foreigners are loving this movie even after so long of it's released. This shows how much ahead of it's time this movie was, as an Indian movie.

raj and dk are such amazing directors. their vision at that time making a "hatke" film( hatke means different in all sorts) was such amazing. although it was heavily based on zombieland. but it was in every way a new concept for Bollywood.

I'm glad they didn't make a sequel movie. Bollywood is known for cashgrabbing in the name of sequels, just capitalising on the success of the previous film. This movie had an open ending. It's a complete movie on its own, which took place on an island with low stakes.

I think you can do *Zombivli (2022)* next, same genre. But, I think 1 issue is it does have 1 song and random dance in middle of the movie which most people don't like. Also after that *Zombie Reddy (2021)* (I have not watched this one but same genre), I guess. 😅

I remember watching this movie on a sleeper bus .... Every berth has a small tv on it .... At time when there was no smartphones but just feature phones.... Times were of re 4 biohazard which we used to buy on a pirated discs from a local shop and play on the pc using pcsx2 emulator .... Times were great back then...🥺🥺🥺

I really like the movie, before I thought it must be like some friends going to goa and enjoying with cheeks so I never watched the movie, but last year I decided to watch and it was really a good movie with humor, suspense and horror. It is a very unique story of zombies. I really enjoyed watching it, I hope they make the second part. I don't know how anyone cannot like this movie.

@@mayankshukla2056 Well Aashiqui 2 is decent but "A star is born" is made twice now. The latest version has Brad Pitt and Lady Gaga in it. Shraddha Kapoor can barely act and Aditya Roy Kapoor is okay in it. The movie has horrible voice dubbing and the lines can induce cringe sometimes. The only reason people love the movie is because of the songs. Also for your last line, Laal singh was an entirely different character, it was bound to be played differently. Again Tom Hank's performance is better. The kid did a good job in LSC though.
