@@DjemoGraphic Hi Djemo, actually Christmas in Bulgaria is celebrating in a similar way like in Central Europe. Last Christmas I was in Sofia and I was surprised by the Christmas trees and markets I saw there. There were even a Weihgnachtmarkt! in other orthodox countries like Russia, Ukraine or Georgia, which I know, Christmas is fantastically celebrated with real Christmas trees and a lot of lights. Here in Spain, where I live since 94, people usually make Belen and the Christmas trees are more imaginary and made by lights. That is why I'm missing do much the Central and East European Christmas.

Its interesting to hear that Bulgaria has started to adopt more central-European-like Christmas market tradition. I guess its interesting to witness once the orthodox Christmas traditions. What I know from my serbian exgirl friend is that Easter holiday is in general in Christian Orthodoxy more important.

Hiii Jim. Great and brief comment, thank you! Yes, Einsiedeln is in the Swiss German speaking part; in the canton Schwyz after which Switzerland is named after. Maybe Christmas up in Einsiedeln is just so special because its a traditionally very religious town. This has much to do with the pilgrimage church that still is very much visited by people, even by the pope of the Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church☦🇪🇬, when I was there in 2013. The mulled wine was fine. Its a must have on any Christmas market or during ski holiday. Baroque churches arent uncommon in the Swiss German speaking part. Many Swiss German cantons are catholic. Great examples are the Prince-Abbot church of Saint-Gallen and the baroque hall of the library, the monastery church of Muri AG and the Jesuit Church of Lucerne.

Aloha Geno! Nice to hear from you! It's cold here now. It was -1°C, but I enjoy the cold temperatures during this season. Certain smaller markets are only a for a limited amount of time. Basel, Zürich, Luzern or Montreux that are notably larger are open for almost the entire Christmas season! It's a good point you made, which I can emphasize when making my Top Christmas Market video, where I am going to compare the markets. Sometimes the basic things are the most important to mention! You also just reminded me to urgently correct the autosubtitles that aren't doing well for non-english words. I just transcribed the words correctly now. The skewer was really yummie, it's common to get such large ones on markets in Switzerland. Hiii. I just visited Montreux Christmas Market. Same there: Most things are handmade from Switzerland or nearby countries. The price is maybe a bit higher, but these products you cannot by anywhere.
