My first time go Karting with the fast big engine ones I without any kind of racing knowledge knew to do these things and I got 85th place on best time on that track ever now I’m 22nd going back to the track in 2 weeks 😎👍

Should’ve seen this video before going to-karting for the first time and accidentally slowing down too hard on a turn, causing the person behind me to rear-end me, giving me whiplash 😅

And if you are inside, floor it!!! This took me a bit of time to realise. Most indoor karts are not super fast so you can go flat out in most corners. My local track for example has 1 breaking zone.

Does anyone else get absolutely slammed into when taking corners? I always go out to the left before making a right and someone will just fly thru the turn and slam into my car, it’s like they don’t use their brakes.. how do I avoid this? (I’m terrible at carting)

Tbf any tips help on that track, the smallest things can make a huge difference. Like on the Second corner after the up ramp, don't use the brakes. Just letting off slightly and turning in does it perfectly.

th external-internal-external is by far the best

I honestly prefer carting on asphalt than concrete because personally i think concrete is less grippy

I have tried go kartjng before and to be honest it went well even without a guide, which it was fast but I learned quickly when I could or couldn't power my way through the corner, and Yess I was going wide and going to the inside to reduce time, somehow I was second to one of my friends that had no experience I believe, overall I did very well with my driving and avoided my friends as well, and man were some of then slow, but it was pretty good, I wonder if I'll do more go karting in the future since I did one in ocean City which I played more safe since I didn't know what the other racers intentions were so it was difficult but I got 5 which isn't bad.

The 1st I went karting in 2018 I got 5th and I also almost flipped the kart, the walls were just tires and I hit them and the wrong angle and my right side was in the air like I hit a kerb. This year I went again but to a different track cause the other one shut down, there were 2 races you can race in. The first race I got fastest lap and I won the race in my 2nd start of karting. The 2nd race that day I got fastest lap again but I got 3rd cause the slower karts would not move out the way

Wouldn’t it be quicker if you didn’t use all the track but used 100 percent of the grip so you do t have to hit that extra track?

Note on certain double apexes you want to miss slightly in order to carry the most speed as karts have no differential so you want that minimum speed Edit: and turning more agressivly obv scrubs that all important speed off

First time for me i did several sessions first sesh i took it eassy trying to figure the thing out on the 2nd sesh i wast the fastest on the track think the sim racing xp might have helped tho
