Today we're turning our Go beginners guide up a notch by learning how to deal with files and data structures like JSON. We navigate the Go documentation, and build an application that reads videos from a JSON file and updates them.
We learn about structs, I/O, byte arrays\slices, converting bytes to go types and back to bytes.
These are fundamentals of working with data in Go.

can you explain why you created the module in the beginning of the video and never used it ? thanks

You need to define a module in order to get a mod file to manage your dependencies when you start importing external packages. Its good to have it in place from the get go.

@@MarcelDempers thank you for the response. I do know what the use of a module in GO language but in this video it was not used and I couldn't see the point of having it there. You are right about having it there for better practice. PS Love the channel! I always listen to videos on my way to work. PS #2 The public asks to focus on Microsoft Azure cloud platform, maybe a full blown series from start to finish. Thank you very much! 😎😎😎
