Skipped Goa this year went to Bali. Super organised with cabs on app and helpful locals . Also the hotels were much more affordable.

It's a total different place to when myself and my family were there in candolim goa ,but it's too be expected as it was 30 years ago now . Then there was nothing but locals no shops near the beach but about 4 beach huts . We stayed at exaviers beach resort but was the first to visit as the hotel wasn't even finished being built. Looking on Google maps it's all modern and nothing like it was , I don't think it's changed for the better but maybe I'm just being reminiscent.. Been all over the world USA, Mediterranean, Carribbean, European countries,but goa 30 years ago was the best place we went on holiday..

I am a regular visitor(8 visits in 8 years, twice in N goa and 6 times to S goa) to Goa apart from this year. Never missed Moses's video. However, i have given it a miss this year as i feel not welcomed kind of vibes from the statements of the Goa ministers and residents. It seems they only want Western tourists to visit them(I have even been denied entry in a shack with my family as they had western tourists, 3 times, despite tables being available!!). Personally i follow the rules and keep goa clean, but due to the hooliganism of the desi crowds, Goa seems less attractive now. Goa should strictly penalize the people drinking in public places(both tourists and locals alike) such as beaches, etc. Also, the price of airlines tickets were too high this time around, taxi frauds are on a high and too many locals are involved in fights with tourists for no apparent reason(maybe for extracting more money). It was cheaper to travel(or similar costs) to Thailand and Vietnam, many of my friends visited south east asia instead this year. Anyways, i miss south goa.

Yes, its super sad with what's been happening. But now that there was a huge drop in tourism people are starting to learn the effect of their actions. Things should drastically improve in the near future. Prices of flights is now a worldwide increase and controlled by the airlines due to lower travellers. There might be more attractive destinations but your always a king in your own country compared to international destinations. Even with the bad behaviour of a few rotten apples. South Goa has maintained it's charm and beauty.

Exactly the point..! This year Goa has lost all its charm it used to have.. be it tourism/ govt lobby, behaviour of tourists and local Goans, or be it sky high 5 star hotel rates (5 stars in Bali, Hanoi, almost all south east Asia beats it hands down). Sad but it is what it is. Hope the situation improves.

I want to share my experience of December 2023 goa visit.... i went candolim beach and stayed near beach in 1bhk kind staycation... rooms were not at all a problem.. it was good... but main thing is beaches.. first of all there were no shacks this time.. when i went.. due to government policy or whatever... i found almost no crowd and the only tourists i saw was Western or some desi people who were thr to drink... Yes goa is not goa anymore... that vacation vibe is somewhat missing... i reduced my 21 days goa vacation to 8 and i spent remaining 13 days in shimla manali... I really love goa so much. even in lockdown i went thr 4 times. and in total 7 times in last 4 years. but I don't know.. i am loosing my interest and love towards goa due to behaviour of local people towards desi crowd.... nothing happened to me but the stories i see or hear are so bad that i feel sorry for Indian crowd.. and how they looting us... i hope goa will get strict for some rules towards Indian crowd and those old days will come back again.. planning to come in December as honeymoon destination i chooose goa.. this year getting married.... my upcoming wife asked me abt my favourite honeymoon destination and i gave her name GOA... and candolim Calangute are my favourite beaches.... May god keep all goa people happy and those vacation vibes should not be lost or disappear at any cost... Yes we love goa.. but it all depends on goa people.. how they want us... desi or Western... it's all upon them... otherwise as people says... thiland Vietnam are equally reasonable for us... Goa people if u r reading this comment... please maintain equal eyes for Western or Indian tourist... hope for the best... 😊❤️🥰

Thanks you for a beautiful video. We were in candolim in January and it was quite good. But one particular event was not ok we were badly tricked to stay on the first sunbeds by the guy in blue t-shirt We were offered the sunbeds for 200 R and accepted. But as we sat down the guy told us that the price was for one person and one bed - double price! And suddenly after maybe thirty minutes the crook told us our time was out and we had to leave Our first day in Goa taught us to watch out for the bad guys!
