This is gross injustice done to our tourist only for the sake of few Rupees. Such a disgrace. Hope the Tourist Dept. "Ministry" is made aware of the present happenings & punish the wrong doers. Actually, the true goans from Goa are very big hearted people. We love to entertain our visitors irrespective of any religion. True goans love to sing, dance, enjoy lovely food & drinks. We love to make friends. This is our culture. To rob or cheat people specially the tourist is never part of a real Goan intention. I went to goa and decided to never visit again. Worst place full of fraud not only by police it start from taxi drivers to water sports everywhere. I just regreted it 4 days spoiled. I went to bali and was amazed by hospitality and honesty of people there. Shame to Goa tourism.

Thanks for exposing the corrupted officials. I am a Goan living overseas for the past 25+ years. This is the very reason that forced me to leave my beautiful state of Goa. I have also experienced this corruption in all levels of government right from the elected ministers to the guy trying to sell the toilet paper in the public toilet which is supposed to be free. The only solution is to expose them to the public as much as possible like your videos do and hoping for things to change. Also if the local news media can pick up on this would be helpful.

We are from Mangalore. Needless to say we hold Goa in high esteem and regard it as our 'kullar' We had visited Goa. At Calangute beach my son's pocket with cash , moreover with cards got stolen and we were left high and dry. Hotel where we had booked hotel one week in advance , on reaching , said he does not know who we are !!!!! In one incidence We were terrorised by a Hindi speaking rowdy !!!! We were very sad to see the sad state of in Goa. Even when we asked for some direction, we were purposely misguided into a wrong bus just for maniac fun !!!! We are sad indeed to see where Goa is going (tragically gone already)!!!!! Sad to see to what extent need has arisen for Goans to fight for their own rights in Goa. God save Goa !

Same thing happened with us on 18 June near Panjim circle. They stopped my friend and got hold of the licence first and then said that insurance is expired and when we shown the insurance copy they said that my friend was drunk. It was morning 10:30 and we were visiting the Panjim church. He threatened to file a case and asked for 500 rupees and asked us to leave.

Already tourist was facing dadagiri from locals in Goa ... Now police started harassing too.. goa is not remained tourist friendly now Because of this Most of Tourists diverting towards kokan nowadays Anytime better ...

Traffic police in goa is a disgrace. I have travelled to other states by road and never ever police have troubled/harassed me. Infact police have been very helpful to us. Hope this video will put an end to harassment to our local tourist. They bring revenue to the state. It's very sad.

In Goa, it's a big nexus between state authorities and corrupt people. Either you take police, RTO, hospitals, hotels, bars. They will threat you that once they trap you then you have to appear in Goan court every now and then. Hence, I stopped holidaying in Goa, now I prefer Hill Stations

This happened with us on our way to arambol . There is a way to the left which again meets the same road further. The maps do not show that route we went on the same route. He stopped everyone on the route and acted as if he was typing something taking the license and told 750 fine I was silent for a minute or so and he himself asked to pay 300 fine . I bargained it to 100 and said we had not more than 100 in our purse and showed our purse. Luckily there was only a single 100 note. He took it and left us . Our friends on another bike had to pay 400 rs

Same happened with me ...I was returning from goa on my car ...was fined forcefully for obstruction of traffic I could not understandstand how one could obstruct traffic when whole lane was jammed from start to end itself.. Yes goan traffic police is worst. I had two times experience. They charged 2000 rs and second time 2500rs for wearing no helmet only.

Unfortunately goan police are still in pre-independence mind set. We must understand that they took some 15 extra years to libarate themselves (that to with the help of the so called outsiders) Let us give them that much time for self correction.

I visited Goa with my friends Last week and we paid 6000 in 3 days as fine and got no receipt from them..

Consequently, the government should either discontinue the use of this application or ensure comprehensive communication of its validity to all members of the traffic police force.

If the reason of stopping you does not make sense do not surrender your license or pay fine ,you can even start recording video on the spot If you don't wear mask or helmet you have to pay the fine

A person to get job in police department has to pay high bribe to get the job, then after they try to recover their money in all possible wrong ways.

I am from Goa (Goan) while I am abroad in gulf country my niece who is police officer. She took 2 flats belonging to me and my daughter. She took advantage of my sister during her dying moment by tampering with the WILLs and Nominee papers without asking me. She did this by going to the Muncipal Council wearing her polce uniform. What a shame on government who allows them to wear their polce uniform and do these things. My niece name is Ninette Quados from Vasco Da Gama.

Goa is my native place... This year I have seen many police stopping tourists, locals, even Russians were stopped in front of me.. They are so corrupt... It looks like tourist rates will soon go down and then govt will have to re think their extortion strategy... Recently BJP has won and corruption is on peak.. I feel very bad...
